IN LOVE WITH MY BABYSITTER

Chapter 21

"Your daughter is at stage 4 in colon cancer." The doctor said.

"No it can't be this morning she was perfectly healthy how is it possible?" I said.

"Since her mom's side has a family history of colon cancer, we think that she got it from her mother's side. We will have to do a operation to try and cut the cancer out bu-" Coach cut the doctor off.

"If you cut all of it successfully then will there be a need for her to go for the chemotherapy?" Coach asked with his fingers rubbing his chin. I felt like crying I don't want to loose Brooklyn. I love her.

"The chances of it being successful is not very high. Since she's stage 4 its almost impossible to remove all of it." The doctor said.

"When will her first operation take place?" I asked holding back tears.

"Can use do it today?" Coach asked.

"We can't do it today but we can tomorrow." The doctor said.

"I will make the payment for her operation." Coach said.

"Can I see Brooklyn?" I asked but by then a tear managed to slip from my face.

"You can but she's not awake." The doctor said.

"I'll be right back Josh, you can go see her." Coach said then he walked off with the doctor.

When I stepped into Brooklyn's room it broke my heart to see her condition. She was laying unconscious and with that needle drip in her arm. I ran to her side and took her hand.

"Brooklyn, you scared me there for a second I thought you were dead. Brooklyn I can help you in many things but not this, promise me you will fight to stay alive,promise me you won't give up, promise me you will fight for US. Brooklyn I love you I don't want you to leave me please don't I can't live without you." I told her then I buried my eyes on her hand and started crying. I wish that I'm dreaming but I'm not.

"I will be here for you when you need me. I will be strong for you until you can be strong for yourself. I will be by your side until this nightmare his over,ok,ok." I told her. I sat by her side until coach came inside. He kissed Brooklyn's forehead and he began to sob. I walked over to him.

"I'll go get us some coffee so you and Brooklyn can have some time to talk." I walked out to get our coffee.

Coach's P.O.V

When I stepped into Brooklyn's room I was so upset that this happened. So many questions came into my head.
'Why her, why this, why did it have to be her?' I couldn't bear to see my daughter unhappy or sick. I tried to be strong for her but as soon as Josh left I broke down.

"Sweetie how could you give me the scare of my life. I need you to fight so that we can get out of this hell of a nightmare." I said squeezing her hand tighter. I loved my daughter and to see her in this state it just breaks my heart.

Josh then came inside with my coffee.
"Thank you Josh." I said.

"No problem Coach." He said while handing me my coffee.

"No I mean thank you for being there for her when she needed you Joshua, I know that you have feelings for my daughter and I know that she has feeling for you."

"Coach I only like her as a fr-" I cut him off.

"Stop hiding it, it's obvious that you and her have a thing going on. I just want to make her happy and she's happy when she's with you."

"What are you trying to say Coach?" Josh asked raising a eyebrow in confusion.

"If you and Brooklyn love each other and want to be together then I'm okay with it. You make her happy and I want her to be happy. If you guys are more than friends already then I approve." I told him. His eyes filled with tears and he hugged me. I let out a chuckle then Josh went over to Brooklyn.

"Did you hear that Brooklyn your dad approves on our relationship." He said holding Brooklyn's hands then be kissed it. Surprisingly my overprotectiveness didn't kick in I felt comfortable with them two having a
'girlfriend, boyfriend' relationship.

Just then Brooklyn's eyes started opening and her hands began to move. I stood up and called the doctor.
