After school I met up with my dad who was training the guys hard. They all had sweat dripping from their faces I kinda felt bad for them.

"Hey daddy." I smiled while hugging him.

"Hello. "He says and hugs me back.
"Take a seat we will be done in the next hour or so." He said to me.

"Ok." I replied and walked over to the benches to take a seat. I took my maths book out and had decided to do some maths homework. I never really liked maths so much. I was struggling with one of the sums.

2x x 4y= A confused person(me)
I know people think that 8th grade math is simple well it's not for me.
I'm more and English type of girl.

I sat with my maths until I finally figured out the answer. My dad blew the whistle that I actually got a fright.

"Alright boys take a break!" My dad shouted at them. Shame, they all looked so exhausted. I saw Josh and Alex. They smiled and walked towards me. There again I got that feeling inside my stomach.

"Hey Brook." Josh and Alex said at the same time.

"Hey guys. Is my dad working use to hard?" I asked.

"Kinda but we're all a little out of shape. Can you pass our water bottles please?" Alex said pointing to their bags that I was sitting next to. I handed it to them and they drank it.

"I feel much better now." Josh says.
I just smiled at them both.

"What's that?" Josh asked then grabs my maths book out of my hands.

"Hey give it back." I said.

"Oh I hate algebra." He said then gave my book back to me.

"Alex get over here now!" My dad shouted from across the field.

"I'll be back soon guys." Alex said then he jogged to my dad. Josh sat next to me and I began to feel slightly nervous.

"I read what you wrote about me in your diary." He said. I felt like smacking myself the embarrassment cause me to look to the floor.

"You probably think I'm a naive kid who has a stupid crush on a senior." I said to him. He used his index finger to lift me chin up then he turned my head so that I was facing him.

"I don't think your naive or stupid Brooklyn." He said so sweetly that I'm now 100% sure that I have a crush on him.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah I think it's really cute." He says with a slight laugh at the end.

"So you and Zoe ar-" I was cut of when my dad shouted " Back to practice boys!"

"We'll finish this conversation later ok." He tell me but before he leave he winks at me which makes me get that feeling again in my stomach.
The guys worked on their kicks and all that soccery stuff. I just watched them play. They played against each other just for fun. I had decided to try and complete my poem.

At 16:42 my dad asked Josh to drive me home because it's a school night and I need to get home. My dad had to stay behind to have a meeting with the soccer players parents just to discuss when they will be playing matches and what time practise will be ending , stuff like that.

As Josh drove me to my home he said
"So about that question you asked me early..." He said looking at me.

"Yes." Was all I managed to say.

"And yes I broke up with Zoe today..." He said. I did as happy dance inside my head.

"Why? You two seemed happy together." I asked.

He laughed and said " The only reason we were dating was because people said that we looked great together and stupid stuff like that." He said. That's when I realised that he ment the only reason he dated he was because of pressure.

We stop at my house we both get out. When we got inside I dropped my bag in my room. I never noticed that Josh had followed me.

"I'm hungry." He moan. I jumped up not knowing that he was there.

"You gave me a fright Josh!" I yelled at him. He seemed to be amused by the way I scolded him.

"Do you wanna get some ice-cream?" He asked.

"My dad won't allow it." I told him.

"I'll handle your dad don't worry he won't be mad." He said walking up to me then pulling my hand.

"I think this is a bad idea." I told him.

"Trust me neither you nor I will be scolded at ok." He reassured me. I just looked at him. He continued to pull my hand and let me tell you this his hands are so soft.
