Chapter 16

The whole soccer team including their girlfriends came and so did Olivia and I. We asked for a table for 25. I sat next to Olivia on my right and Josh on my left. My dad sat at the head off the table since he was the coach.

"This is a little treat for being such a brilliant soccer team. You've trained hard and worked hard so this is a small token of my appreciation." My dad said.

"That's so sweet of you coach." One off the guys said. My dad just smiled at him.

"I've ordered burgers and fries for the whole table... is that ok?" My dad asked. We all nodded.

I felt something warm on my thigh and I saw that it was Josh's hand. He just smiled at me. Seeing him smile will never get old. His so charming, sweet, funny and most of all respectful. He's so perfect.

I put my hand on his hand and he knocked my arm playfully,but we were interrupted when the waiters brought our food.

Their burgers were delicious I loved it. I said to dad that we should eat here more often. The brought us homemade lemon. It was so good I really loved this place. We all spoke alot of nonsense to each other.

"Josh remember when that Clinton dude tried to trip you but you stepped on his toe." Alex said while laughing. So did everyone else Josh just smirked.

"I think it's time that we leave. It's getting late I don't want your parent's calling me asking where their babies are." My dad teased them.

"We're not babies coach. Technically we are all turning 18 that classifies us as adults." This one red headed guy said smartly to my dad. My dad just laughed then mumbled something under his breath.

"Lets go." My dad said while walking to the counter to pay for the meals.

All of us waited for my dad outside.

"I'm glad I got to spend time with you today." Josh told me.

"I enjoyed spending time with you too. Your super funny." I said.

"Don't forget handsome." He said confidently.

"Don't flatter yourself pretty boy." I said. He punched me softly with a playful attitude.

"Your so immature." I told him. His eyes widened and he pretended like he was hurt by what I said by putting his hand where his heart is.

My dad come out and unlocked his car door. I whispered goodbye in Josh's ear, so my dad wouldn't see.

"Brooklyn get inside the car please." My dad told me. I slid into the passengers side and put my seat belt on. My dad backed out from Frankies parking lot.

"Brooklyn thanks for motivating the team today. You and your friend Olivia did a great job maybe you should be coach." My dad joked.

"Dad you crazy. It was a pleasure to help your team." I said.

"Well thank you now stop arguing with me or your grounded." My dad joked. I did as he said I don't want to be grounded.

We got home at 19:08. My bed time is only 21:00. I decided to take a shower and put on my panda onezie. I placed socks on my feet. I love to wear socks and take them off before I go sleep I always seem to sleep much better when I do that.

I walked downstairs and my dad was watching t.v.

"Dad can I watch with you?" I asked.

"Sure sweetie."My dad said patting on the seat next to him. I throw myself on the couch and took the some popcorn from the bowl my dad had in his hands.

"What we watching?" I asked while chewing popcorn. I then tied my hair into a high ponytail so that is not in my neck the whole time.

"How 'bout we watch a movie?" He replied.

"Ok what movie?" I asked. My dad plugged his memory stick into he t.v. and looked threw his movies.

"Horror, thriller, action, comed-" I cut my dad off.

"COMEDY!"I raised my voice with excitement when we passed the movie Tammy.

"Can we watch Tammy please,please,please." I said hugging my dad's legs. He laughed and told me we'll watch it.

I loved Melissa McCarthy she's the best female comedian actor in Hollywood. She brings the movie to life I love her movies.

Dad laughed so much that tears come streaming down his face. I loved seeing him happy his really lonely without my mom.
