Glory was standing outside her hut waiting for Starflight. She had contacted him saying how she needs his expertise with the Nightwings. Glory knowing how Starflight was really smart and knowing how he is an actual Nightwing made him perfect for the job. But, because of his blindness, Glory would still have to help him with the job of the Nightwing homes, their picky needs, and just the basic history of them.
Glory waited patiently while staring up at the sky. It shouldn't take him that long Glory thought. Being blind shouldn't make him that much slower. Anyway, she had sent her clingy bodyguard, Deathbringer, to lead him so it definitely wouldn't take that long because Deathbringer would want to be at Glory's side as soon as possible to of course, protect her and for other reasons. Oh Deathbringer, when will that cute freak give up. Glory chuckled a little and continued to watch for two Nightwings flying towards her.
A half hour passed and Glory could now see them flying towards her kingdom. She stood up more queenly as the two landed on her platform to her hut.
"Hello Queen Glory," grinned Deathbringer.
"Starflight is who I need to see right now, not you," replied Glory shutting down Deathbringer. She was only joking although and made her scales yellow to show Deathbringer. He smiled back at Glory and then flew off.
Glory then turned to Starflight and welcomed him. "Sorry about that Starflight. Glad you were able to make it."
"Thanks, I'm ready to start whenever you're ready," commented Starflight who was also smiling.
"Great, how about now." Glory then lead Starflight off the platform, into the sky towards the Nightwing part of the kingdom.
While flying, Glory noticed how steady Starflight was since last time. He was so steady he almost seemed like he could really see again.
"I just wanted to ask you if flying is still harder with not being able to see?" asked Glory trying to start a conversation.
"Oh yes, of course it is," exclaimed Starflight, "You have no idea if you're going to run into anything or if you're going straight. While Deathbringer was leading me, I'm pretty sure he held me down so I wasn't continuously flying higher and so I was staying at one level."
"Ha, that makes sense though why that would happen," stated Glory. That's nice of Deathbringer. I should praise him with something thought Glory as she continued talking with Starflight.
"Of course I'm getting better at flying blind but you'll never know how hard it actually is," expressed Starflight as they landed.
"Let me try," fearlessly began Glory.
She closed her eyes and then flapped up in the air. She felt herself sway sideways and instantly opened her eyes as she found she was a couple paces away from Starflight.
"Wow, I know what you mean," stood Glory marveled at the difficulty of the task and the new life of Starflight.
"Yep, that's me everyday," sighed Starflight.
"Aw, you poor thing," wailed Glory as she nudged Starflight's side.
He smiled as he said, "Ok, let's get to work!" and the two then started talking and planning out the town and everything the Nightwings will need to let them grow.
The job went on for hours as the two kept working hard. Glory and Starflight didn't stop for any breaks except the occasional munch of berries. They were determined to finish as soon as possible and worked until the sun set.
"Ok, from what your telling me, the nursery for the Nightwing dragonets should have food open to them at all times to be sure the new Nightwings babies grow up strong?" Glory asked.
"Yes. This will be pretty important because the older Nightwings were on the volcano with barely any food and were used to not eating for weeks. Since they need to adjust to eating food everyday, it's good we start with the young because they adapt better," lectured on Starflight. He was pacing around the forest ground with his thinking face on.
"Ok, that's makes sense. That also raps up the job for the day. Thanks so much Starflight. You were a big help," approved Glory as she once again affectionately nudged Starflight.
"Aw, that was nothing. Just helping my queen," beamed Starflight who nudged Glory back.
Sounds like something Deathbringer would say. "Oh Starflight," Glory rolled her eyes and lead Starflight back towards the Rainwing section of the rainforest and they both got a bite to eat before nighttime.
Once their eyes started drooping Glory lead Starflight back to her hut and they both were getting ready to sleep.
"Hope you don't mind. We don't have any other huts open because the Nightwings took them up," explained Glory.
"This is fine. See you in the morning," replied Starflight.
"Ya, goodnight," finished Glory and they both slept a ways away from each other but while still being in the same hut. Hopefully he'll be ok thought Glory as she rolled over to face Starflight and gone to sleep.
Glory woke up in the middle of the night to the sounds of crickets and other animals being very noisy. She also noticed a big lump right next to her that was all black. Her eyes adjusted to the thing and realized it was Starflight right next to her with his wing over her.
Glory crawled back away from Starflight not in a disgusted way, but in a curious way of how he got next to her and why. Was he cold or something and decided to cuddle. Should I just lay back down next to him. I don't mind thought Glory as she instantly turned to a sound behind her.
It was Deathbringer who looked like he was watching Glory from the corner of her hut. He got up and came over to Glory so they were able to talk without waking anyone else up.
"I had came into your hut awhile ago to seeing you two literally hugging it out. I was deciding whether to kill Starflight or not but I thought you wouldn't like it so I didn't. I'm so great, aren't I? But, can you please tell me nothing happened?" whispered Deathbringer as he did his grin he was always known to do. Glory noticed when he said this how he almost sounded panicked wondering if Glory had liked Starflight more than him but he had tried to hide it.
"No, I'm pretty sure nothing happened. He was sleeping in here because there was no other huts but I guess he rolled over to me in his sleep? I'm not really sure. I'm kind've confused right now. It's not everyday you wake up to see another dragon right in your face except you," mentioned Glory.
Deathbringer looked relieved. "That's reassuring. If it happens again though, he gets it," threatened Deathbringer who stared straight at Starflight.
"If you hurt him, I'll hurt you. He's like my brother. I love him but not like that. Calm down Deathy," pointed out Glory who patted Deathbringer on the head.
"Ok, well, I'm still staying here still. There's crazy dragons out there who will rip faces off. I can't afford to loose you," insisted Deathbringer who sat on his haunches not moving an inch. Glory also couldn't forget to notice his smirk on his face.
"Yuck, but if you insist, at least get comfortable," concluded Glory motioning Deathbringer down beside her and Starflight. Glory laid down and Deathbringer bounded over making sure Glory wouldn't have a chance to change her mind. He soon fell asleep (at least Glory thought he did) leaving Glory the only one awake. She lay awake thinking if Starflight really just rolled over on accident. But, there was still a chance Starflight had done so on purpose. Either way, Glory found it cute as she wrapped her wings around Deathbringer and also Starflight.
Hopefully you people enjoyed! I just had to incorporate a bit of Glorybringer in there to make me happy and hopefully you people too. I think I might've got carried away at the end but it should be fine. There's never to much Glorybringer! Also, for next week, I'm going to be really busy and won't post. :( Sorry people, but I promise fanfictions soon, and possibly a drawing book if I figure out how to post my pictures! Anyway, thanks for the actual real life people who are following me! You the MVPs! It literally made me so happy when I came on and saw you people there. You people not only made my day, but also made my 2016 and I'm serious! See ya!
