While traveling on the search for Hailstorm, Moonwatcher and her friends were flying for miles across different lands. It was exciting exploring everywhere but Moon was a bit embarrassed of herself and also a bit stressed out. One night, she had a thing for Winter, the next night, she had a thing for Qibli and some of the other dragonets. She was a mess and she knew it. She thought she was just homesick and the fact how she ran away from school probably was the reason why she was feeling this way. Moon also no longer was able to make contact with Darkstalker but, her troubles were mainly caused from the nightmares she was having every night.
One night, it was of Jade Mountain Academy collapsing, another night, it was of her friends dying. The poor dragonet even had dreams of Darkstalker turning evil and coming out of the hole he was in to then destroy Pyrrhia. Moon would always tell herself rain droplets, rain droplets but it didn't help.
Moon jolted up suddenly from a nightmare of Jade Mountain collapsing, breathing heavily. Darkstalker please, help me...
It was no use. Moon knew Darkstalker couldn't hear her but she tried anyway. The nightmares were changing her so much. Moonwatcher was like a completely different dragon.
Moon got up from where all the dragonets had settled for the night and once again, left for the river which they were close by. Like the night Winter had followed her to the river, she dug her claws in the dirt and swished her tail through the water. Moon was almost expecting Winter to come up to her again but on her trip, she realized he was a heavy sleeper. Moon was going to just have to calm herself down by herself; which she didn't mind. The nightmares didn't change that about her. Moonwatcher was still that shy dragonet who knew some hunting skills from when she was younger.
A few minutes passed by and Moon was about to turn back to the rest of the dragonets when she felt a breeze fly past her. Winter? Wait, it's a warm breeze.
It was Qibli. Moon almost felt sad it wasn't Winter but she was glad it was Qibli so he could understand her more. That was the only thing Winter never did; but she didn't mind that either.
"Can you not sleep?" Qibli asked. Unlike Winter, Qibli actually looked at her which she liked. Why am I comparing Qibli to Winter all the time?! Moon asked herself.
"I can never sleep. Nightmares," responded Moon.
"Oh, I see. I can't sleep either," Qibli admitted.
"How come?" questioned Moon. She was interested how he could not sleep when he doesn't have visions telling him that dragons were going to die in the future.
"Oh, you can never sleep in the Scorpian Den without being assassinated. It's just something I've gotten used too," Qibli commented.
That's true. Also, he always is used to not sleeping and I'm just getting into not sleeping so I don't know what I'm complaining about Moon told herself.
"I'm sorry," stated Moon. She was actually starting to feel bad for Qibli.
"Ha!" Qibli snorted, "Don't be sorry. Look at your situation. You're worse that every single dragon alive!"
Moon smiled. "Thanks Qibli." Moon knew that wasn't true but it was making her feel better anyway.
"Ready to go back now?" asked Qibli.
"Ya, I'm better," replied Moon.
They both walked back together, laid down by the other dragonets, said goodnight, and fell asleep.
Moon was back in her dreams. The dragonets were back at the old Nightwing kingdom with the same volcano. They were actually having fun until the volcano ended up exploding. Kinkajou was right by the volcano as it erupted and was the first to perish. Moon tried to help her but she couldn't move. All dragonets tried to escape but you couldn't escape the island. It was blocked off and you couldn't fly away or go back through the tunnel. She watched as more of her friends burned and she saw how Winter was trying to cool the lava with his frost breath. Qibli was also trying to help by breaking the force field that surrounded the island with his barbed tail. It was no use. Moon then heard each of her friends scream as the lava climbed up and burned their scales.
Moon awoke with a scream this time. She looked around and noticed it was still night. How much longer Moon complained in her thoughts. Qibli then bounded over and sat beside her.
"What happened this time?" Qibli asked. Moon saw how he actually cared just by his facial expressions. Ahhh, Winter would've never done that...OH MY MOONS I'M COMPARING THEM AGAIN.
"I'm sorry, nightmare. You guys were burning from a volcano this time," explained Moon.
"Oh my," Qibli looked shocked as he said this, "You're so brave Moon." They looked at each other for awhile and then Qibli said, "Goodnight," as he turned to walk back to where he was sleeping.
Moon didn't want to bother him because she could tell he was tired but Moon was also freaked out so she jumped in and spoke, "Qibli, will you stay with me?"
Qibli then turned back towards Moon and answered, "Ya."
He stepped around the sleepy Kinkajou and laid next to Moon. Moon and Qibli actually snuggled in next to each other. Moon felt Qibli's scales touch hers and she felt heat surround her. Much better than Winter's cold scales thought Moon. She felt better and safer as she began to close her eyes.
Qibli then finished his sentence by adding, "Always."
Moon was smiling as she thought he's so sweet. Moonwatcher kept thinking Qibli's line over and over in her head. I'll always stay with you. I'll always stay with you. They both drifted off to sleep with Moon not even caring that she was comparing Winter and Qibli in her head.
There you people go! I found something better than Clory/Glay. I'm still going to write the Clay and Glory Fanfiction but right now, this is what I got! In the comments, guess where I got the last few lines from and then I'll think of a surprise for that lucky person! Hint, it's from a movie/book series that has a girl with the name like a cat and a guy with the name of a chip. Good luck!
