Chapter 28

Evelyn's P.O.V~

"You looked a bit tense," said Kat.

I looked up , "Huh?,"

"Hey you shouldn't work so hard , get a break okay,"

"But today is work day,"

"Hey we only got morning shift okay, it's not liked you're working the whole day.Maybe after this we could go to the saloon and change your hairstyle,"

" I like it the way it looks, it's blonde who wouldn't like it?," I said while looking at her like I wasn't interested.

"Come on , Eve, at least you need to try something new you know, I promise you're gonna like it besides we're gonna hang out together like we always do," she smiles.

"Okay then I'll go but I need to finish this first,"

After we finish , we went to the saloon, I cut off my long hair to shoulder length , I also dyed my hair to black.

"Oh this is looks different," I look left and right while looking in the mirror.

"I told you that you will like it,"

"Yeah you're right. I do like it," I giggled.

"So.. any more places you wanna go?,"

I yawned," Naayy.. I just wanna buy some food and go home,"

"Fine. See you tommorow," she said.

I turned on my car, went to a coffee shop near town which is ,Starbucks.

"What would you like Miss,?"

"One hot cappucino please,"

"Is that all? Do you want to try our latest cake? It's green tea flavoured,"

"Oh no thanks that will be all," I smiled.

"Okay, that will be 12.29,"

"Okay," I took out my purse and paid for the drink.

I waited for my drink and when I went to get it, I was about to head for the door, I simply look at my left just to look around the place when I noticed someone.

Wait..is that who I think that is?

"Cameron?," I said to myself.

That dark brown hair, those light blue eyes and t-that looked..could it be him? For 8 years, I thought I'll never see him again but now he's in a coffee shop near town.

Am I out of my mind?

But this is all real now and he doesn't noticed me maybe I could just walked past him, he wouldn't know that. But wouldn't it be quite rude without even saying "hi"?

Okay Evelyn. Just say hi , have a quick chit chat go. That would be easy right? Okay just play cool. You can do this Evelyn.

I start to approached him , "Cameron?," in a soft voice.

He looked back then stop but he didn't said a word. He looked at me as if I was a stranger. Like he never met me before.

Dammit. Why am I doing this? I'm making myself look stupid.

"Eve?," He finally said a word. That even took him a couple of minutes to say it.

I tried to look natural and smiled at him ," it's been a long time,"

"Yeah it is..and you err..you dyed you hair,"

Yeah..I know.

"Yeah I know, trying out something new," I giggled and continued ," well don't worry it's only temporary , it'll turn back to blond soon," I hold my hair.

"So what are you working now," he asked.

"Well I'm working now as banker ,"

"Oh," he smiled.

"So where do you work?," I asked.

"At Lé Ciest de Vie , as a chef,"

"Ohh fine dining eh?," I giggled again, " well I'm gonna go now , I'll see you later ," I took out a small paper , wrote my number and put it on the table , smiled and left.
