Chapter 29

I straight went to my car and turn on the engine. I was about to go but then I looked at window where I can see Cameron there and he was talking with some guy.

I sighed.

"If nothing happen between us in the first place, none of this will happen and now it's like we're back to the drawing board," I said to myself while hitting my head softly on the steering wheel and drove home a few minutes later.

Next morning, I went to work as usual. On my way to the office , I kept getting flashbacks.

"Eve?,"
2nd flashback
"Evelyn..please," he holds my wrist.

3rd flashback
"Are we done talking?!,"

4th flashback
"Your my one and only,"

5th flashback
"Me?!Understand you? I think this will be all better if you just shut up and stop complaning!"

I arrived at my place of work when I stopped and grip the break tightly. Immeadiently I stopped what I was doing.

Why am I still thinking about this? Who cares. He have what he deserves now. I'm not going through the same thing again in the past.

"W..what?!," said Kate in shock.

"Yeah. I did see him yesterday in a coffee shop near town,"

"Any changes about him?,"

"Well not really. Excep...he look a bit mature,"

"Did you say hi to him?,"

"Yeah..but he didn't even recognise me at first. He thought I was some stranger to him,"

"Well at least both of you talk,"

"Yeah..,"I looked on the floor and looked up," but it isn't the same anymore , Kat," I said.

"I know," she pats my back and said," besides , you got "him" remember?,"

I smiled," yeah. He's nice and so caring. He's seriously my type Kat,"

"Of course girl! That's why your engaged to him," she giggled.

I laughed, " well we should continue our work now or else we'll get fired by the boss," and we continued our work.

(After work)

My phone vibrated and I checked. I smiled. It was from Rick.

"Hey your hungry?,"

"Yeah I am," I giggled.

"Well that's good. I'll pick you up right now,"

"Now? You mean right now?," I said.

And before I know it , he arrived at my place with his car. He open the door , I smiled and I get in.

"So how's work?," he asked.

"Well it's fine," I frowned.

He looked at me for awhile and hold my hand , "Is.. everything alright Evelyn?,"

I looked at him, "Huh? Yeah..it's fine,"

Then he started to drive," You sure you don't want to talk about it?,"

"Nayy..it's fine Rick. I'm just tired," I gave a smile at him.

"How about go grab something to eat at McDonald's?," he smiled.

"Okay," and gave him a kiss on the lips.
