Chapter 32

Cameron's P.O.V~

"I'm so glad you're here," she hugged me tightly.

"Yeah me too," I said.

It's weird though, the girl that was my best friend since we were little, the one where I share my deep secrets with, the one where she shares her excitement with me, I never told her at first, that I loved since a long time ago. I remembered when the first day she came to school, she was a new student. She never had a lot of friends since she was quiet and preferred to be alone. 

Everyone said she was "weird" and some start to make fun of her.

"Need any company?,"

"I prefer to be alone thank you,"

I looked at her," I'm Cameron," 

"Evelyn Amherst,"

"Nice name," I smiled.

She looked at me and smiled,"Thanks..," and left.

I remembered well all of those. I remembered when I laid my eyes on her, those light blue eyes of hers, that warm smile. I wonder if she ever thought about it before but I guess she won't be thinking about it now since...she's...

with Rick now.. And I never thought she would be engaged to him too. Was I too late? I knew this was going to happen but I doubt it, I never knew this would happen. Sooner of later , they would get married, have kids and her life would be a bed of roses while I would be sitting in my home, regretting my whole life for what I did.And 8 years..8 years I thought I could forget my problems and have a happy life but no, it was worst. I missed her the whole time and never thought I would see her again but I did. I did but it was too late.But seeing her now, with her in my arms once again, made me feel relaxed, a happy feeling. I would do anything to love her again, like we used to in the old days.

The hug lasted a few minutes, I was enjoying it but she breaks if off, "I..I'm so sorry. I shouldn't do that,"

"N-No..it's okay," I run my fingers through my hair.

We said our goodbyes and went home.

(at home)

"Yo dude! Where have you been man?," said Aaron walking towards me.

"Nothing..Just hanging out with a friend," I rolled my eyes.

"Huh? Wait a minute, you went out with Evelyn right?,"

"And how did you know that?,"

"Bruh, it's obvious okay. You're never like this. Even you wanted to hang out with somebody , you would always go when it is noon and would be back earlier.,"

"It was just a friendly hang out,"

 "RIGHT. Like I would believe that,"

"Dude, you know I can't. She's engaged to someone else now,"

He pats my back,"Hey if you love her just say it out bro, don't hide it," and he gave a light punch on my shoulder.
