Chapter 41

ALEJANDRO

Barcelona's third week and her last day here in the hospital, thankfully lahat ng internal injury niya gumaling agad kaya pinayagan na siya ng doctor niya na lumabas.

Bumalik na yung dati niyang sigla at kulay but the memories that night never came back to her. Hindi na namin pa inalala iyon, nakausap ko na yung psychiatrist niya na mas ikabubuti ng kalagayan niya yon. Dahil brain na rin niya mismo ang nagblock ng mga traumatic incidents that night.

Andy will be having life sentence in prison desisyon na din ng judge because of what she did to my family and under surveillance from a mental hospital.

I heard someone sighed at napatingin ako sa kama kung saan nakaupo si Barcelona with her feet still on cement pero nawala na yung mga pasa niya sa katawan leaving no marks on her beautiful face.

"finally makakauwi na din tayo. I missed my twins so much" saad ni Barcelona. I smiled, 3 weeks na rin niyang hindi nakikita sina Sander at Sandro dahil iniiwasan namin sila sa hospital dahil baka may makuha silang sakit dito and infants aren't allowed in here kaya tuwang tuwa si Barcelona na makakauwi na kami ngayong gabi. "your mom and dad are going to come by" sabi ko pagkatapos ko ibaba yung bag na laman ng mga damit.

We take turns na magbabantay dito sa hospital for me to rest every morning pero hindi ako pumapayag na magpalipas ng gabi sa bahay namin. I can't, binibisita ko lang yung twins sa grandparents nila then I go back here.

Tumingin naman sa akin si Barcelona na nagtataka "bakit? Pwede naman na dumiretso na sila sa bahay na lang. ayoko naman mayakap ang anak ko na amoy hospital pa ako" she pouted and I can't help it I reached for her and kiss her on the lips.

"alright, I'll text them. Then I'll go downstairs to get the car" sabi ko ng may pumasok na nurse sa room niya. She nodded, kinuha ko na yung mga gamit namin at dumiretso na sa basement parking, then I waited for them on the emergency entrance.

I parked the car on our garage and brought down her wheelchair and carried her inside, pinaupo ko naman siya sa couch at lumabas ulit.

"Alejandro" tawag sa akin pagkasara ko ng pinto ng kotse.

"Mom, Dad" I said and kissed mom on the cheek and shake dad's hand

"kamusta na si Barcelona?" tanong ni dad

"she's fine nasa loob siya. Come on" sabi ko at pinagbuksan ako ni mom ng pintuan dahil dala ko yung wheelchair at yung bag, dumiretso na kami sa living room.

BARCELONA

Habang nakikipagkwentuhan ako sa parents ni Alejandro nakarinig kami ng doorbell. "I'll get it" sabi ni Alejandro

Maya maya bumalik na dito si Alejandro and I saw who's beside him "oh my babies" sabi ko and I tried to stand up pero hindi ko naibaba yung legs ko. I tried to hide my disappointment and sadness on my face pero kahit anong tago ko alam kong nakita iyon ni Alejandro, I saw his face changes at kinuha niya si Sander at Sandro sa parents ko and sat beside me.

"I miss you guys" sabi ko and sniffed I kiss them on the lips

Hindi naman na nagtagal ang parehas naming parents at nagpaalam na sila. Kinarga na ako ni Alejandro paupo sa wheelchair twins are both in my arms and we went inside the guest room dito sa baba, dahil hindi naman kakayanin na mag-akyat baba ako sa stairs so we decided na dito muna kami matutulog sa baba habang nagpapagaling pa ako. "how's your night love?" tanong ni Alejandro na nakaupo sa edge ng bed at inabot yung paa ko at hinilot.

"good" I shrugged "great" sabi ko and tried to smile wide but failed then tears started to fall. He hugged me and I leaned on his chest "I'm sorry this happened to you Louisita, shh" he soothingly caresses my back I took a deep breathe "this is not your fault Alejandro" I slide my hands on his waist

"yes it is, I didn't protect you enough." he said in a serious tone, I chuckled "I think you protect me enough even my brain blocked me from the traumatic incident" sabi ko and I looked up to him, ngumiti siya, the first real smile I saw on his face since I was inside the hospital and it never failed to take my breath away. He chuckled "that's a good thing I don't want you to remember what happened to you. Seeing you lifeless nearly killed me. I didn't let you leave my sight that night, I feel like if I didn't saw you or didn't felt your heartbeat someone might take you away from me again."

"this will never happen to us again, I promise you love. I will protect you with all my life" hindi ko na mapigilang mapaiyak ulit and smiled, true smile. he broke the kiss and stood up parang nabigla naman ako at hindi ko siya naitanong kung saan pupunta pero he just went towards the closet at bumalik agad.

He looked directly at my eyes and sat infront of me "to protect you with all my life, will you give me the chance to make you my wife? To make my name became yours?" he said and opened a velvet box infront of us. I gasped and covered my mouth with my hands. "will you marry me?" he said and tears running on my cheeks and I nodded pero tumigil agad ako dahil parang bigla akong nahilo sa sobrang pagtango

"yes, I'll marry you thousand times." sabi ko and grinned widely

Bigla akong natawa ng narinig ko siyang nagsniff while sliding the diamond ring on my finger and kissed it. He held my face with his two hands and kissed my lips hard.

I tried to move to deepen the kiss but he broke the kissed and he groaned. I was about to say why he stopped but the helpless look on his face stopped me "I wanna take you right here right now, but I can't doctor's order I can't exhaust you, and our twins are here" sabi niya at tumingin sa crib.

I laughed "okay" and I gave him a peck on the lips.

Inayos naman niya yung pagkakahiga ko at tinanggal sa pagkakadagan ko yung kumot at nilagay sa akin, humiga na sa tabi ko si Alejandro and pull me in his chest and kissed the top of my head.

"that isn't my planned proposal, but it feels like it's the right moment. Pero ang tagal ko pinaplano sa isip ko kung paano ako magpopropose sayo. But I learned from what happened to us is just live in the moment" he said and caressed my hair.

I chuckled and kissed his throat "no, as long as you're the one who's asking it's the most perfect and romantic proposal for me, kahit na maisip ko man na mag-walk out sayo. I obviously can't"

He laughed and I told him to lower his voice baka magising ang kambal. He looked at me "I love you Barcelona Louisita Lawson Girard" and kissed me full on the lips.
