Ch 20

"Jenny jenny wake up"

I try to cover my head with my pillow but it doesn't stop my little brother from jumping on me

"Come on jenny it is party day!"

"Mmmmmm"

"Come on, Shelly is taking us to the aquarium and then we get to stay in a hotel, but she said you guys had to do the party first"

"Ugh"

"Get the fuck up!"

My eyes flew open "who taught you that"

"A kid at school"

"Well don't say it its a very bad word"

His eyes get watery "oh jenny I sorry I didn't know, don't tell dad"

I pull him in and hug him "I wont now what do you say we head down stairs to set up the party"

"Ok!" He jumps off the bed and drags me down stairs I go down stairs in my PJs.

"Oh thank god you are up next time we decide to have a party the day before the fourth of July tell me no"

I laugh "oh Shelly I'm sorry"

She wipes sweat off of her forehead with her sleeve "its ok, why don't you start with cutting up some carrots"

"Ok"

I get out the stuff and start chopping. For my "party" I'm just having people over for dinner I don't want a huge party. I invited josh but idk if he will come. Then of course there is Sam Connor Nick and Aleck. I want everything to go smooth. I wasn't going to do anything at all for my birthday but Shelly insisted. I was hoping for it to go by unnoticed this year. So what I am turning 18 big deal. I sigh

"What's wrong hunny"

"Nothing"

"Jenifer Rana Gracelynn"

"Please don't use my middle name Shelly"

"Why it fits you I like it"

"I'm not that "beautiful to gaze upon"

She smiles "yes my dear you are"

I smile "thanks"

"Just telling the truth hunny"

I grab another carrot to cut

"That will do, thanks hun, now will you check the chicken then go watch the boys for a few hours why I finish up its almost 1 and everyone is coming at 5"

"Will do"

I check the chicken then go round up the boys before I know it Shelly's walking in the room

"Ok its 3:30 you have an hour and a half to get ready"

"Oh wow time went fast"

I walk to my bathroom to take my shower. I take a long 25 minute shower. It takes longer to shave my legs with a pregnant belly. I blow dry my hair into wavy layers which takes me another half hour considering my hair is long and thick. I then put on eye liner mascara and white eyeshadow. I finish with bright red lips. I smile in the mirror. Then I carefully put on a strapless black white and purple dress that flows around my belly and ends just above my knees. Now comes the hard part of putting on my shoes its not the easiest with my belly pudgeing out. I finally check the time its 10 till 5 so people will be coming soon

The first people to arrive are Sam and Connor. When Sam sees me she sqeelze

"O my gosh Jen you are getting so big!"

"Thanks Sam"

"Oh no hunny I mean it in a good way you look so cute and amazing"

"Thanks, I see you drug poor Connor with you"

He laughs "no Jen you know your my friend too"

I laugh too and hug him.

Then Aleck arrives. When he walks in Sam raises her eyebrows and whispers in my ear "he's sexy"

I hug Aleck and we all go to the living room to wait for nick. When he arrives Josh is with him.

"Ello nick"

"Hello hot stuff"

I swear I see Joshes hand twitch when he said that.

"Hello Josh, I'm glad you came"

"No prob"

That's when Shelly yells for us to go to the dinning room. Some how we sit so I'm between Josh and Aleck. As we eat I see josh glare at Aleck. And of course Aleck doesn't even notice it. After we eat Shelly my dad and my brothers leave for the night. Once they leave Sam runs into the living room an blasts music.

"The party has officially started!"

I laugh and shake my head. Then Josh surprises me

"Wanna dance"

"Umm ok"

We dance a little awkwardly until the 1st song ends.

"Hey can we go outside and talk"

"Umm ok"

We walk outside and sit down

"So Jenny I'm sorry for how iv been ignoring you, can we please be friends"

I held back my emotions I wanted to yell and tell him I wanted to be more but I can tell that won't happen.

"Of course we can Joshy I I mean Josh"

"Good"

"Well I better get back to the party"

I walk back inside and come face to face with Aleck. He smiles and I smile to.

"Hey stranger"

"Hey Jenny, enjoying your party?"

"I am now, let's dance fool"

We all spend the night dancing and laughing I get tired so me and Aleck sit on the couch. I lay my head and he starts playing with my hair and I start drifting off to sleep
