Chapter 12

Theus

I took one last shuddering breath and looked up at my brother and sister.

"Sky." I said with ease. I looked at her gentle face as she smiled. "Tanix." I said again, looking at the 22-year-old man. He shyly smiled. "Mom and Dad?" I asked. Sky shook her head.

"They died in the Great War." Tanix said. He looked solely at me. I sadly remembered the Great War, recalling what little I knew.

"Where do we go now?" I asked them.

"Well... With your Guardian's permission... I'd like you to move in with us." Sky said.

I jumped to my feet, sprinting towards the house. They laughed running after me. I trust through the door, calling through the house.

"MSSSSSSSSSSSS. BILLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I said urgently.

"Oh, my, my. Who are these people, dear?" She said, kindly.

"Ms. Billing, this is my brother and sister!!! They said that with your permission, they'd like me to live with them. May I please? I'll come visit!" I said. I clasped my hands in plea. She laughed and pursed her lips.

"I suppose... You are always welcome here, too." She said. I hugged her tightly.

"Thank you, ma'am." I always called Ms. Billing Ma'am because 'Mom' just wasn't right.

Tanix and Sky lead me back to their Hut. I stepped in.

"Wow! This is so cool!" I said marveling at their personalized rooms.

Sky and Tanix stood at the back. They used their nature powers to make an extension in the Hut for my room.

"You can rearrange it however you want." Sky said, smiling at me. "But this is your room." I jumped onto the bed, picturing all the possibilities of arrangement.

"Thank you!" I said.

Sky

I flew quickly to Daniel's hut.

"Danny! Danny! Dann-YYYYYYYY!" I said, grabbing his arm and pulling him out of his hut. He laughed at me.

"What?"

"It's Theus! We found him!" I said excitedly.

"What?! Where?!" Daniel said flying faster.

"Back at the hut!!" I said. We flew faster, landing and falling inside. I laughed as we tumbled in together, limbs and wings in every which way. I motioned for him to follow me.

"Theus, this is Daniel. He is a friend of mine." I said walking in and sitting next to him on his now-moved bed.

"OH..." Theus said, grinning at me.

"I like this guy." Danny said, ruffling Theus's hair.

Tanix called back to us. "Dinner's ready, you turds." We all laughed, only gathering at our expanded table.

Daniel

I shoved my hands in my pockets, standing on the porch to go home.

"Come on!" Sky said, pulling me off the porch. "I'm too tired to sleep! I need to waist my energy!" I laughed at her, flying next to her. We flew around for a while, until we arrived at my porch.

I opened my mouth to say something, but decided not to.

"What?" Sky said. She smiled playfully and comfortingly. "You can tell me anything."

"What did you think of Theus's remark?" I said stepping closer to her.

"I-I..." She stuttered. I rested on arm on the area of wall above her. "Uh..." She said.

Her back was flat against the wall, her breathing became rapid as as tilted my head closer and closer to her.

"I-It w-was just-t... i-imat-ture..." She said.

I pressed my lips softly to hers. Her beautiful eyes fluttered closed as I felt her tensed muscles relax. I pulled away only half and inch.

"Great. Now I'll never sleep." She whispered to me as I grinned.
