Chapter 13
Sky
I stepped into the hut, Tanix watching my every move. He knew where I'd been. I touched my lips where his warm, soft ones had been.
For now, I just had to try to sleep.
---
The next day, I flew down to the forrest floor to stock up on food and herbs the fields didn't grow.
I found Deep Root - one of my favorite tea herbs. BUT, it's REALLY hard to up root... I pulled and tugged, but nothing would work!
As I gave it one last pull...
I felt a hand on my shoulder. I gasped, letting go of the plant. The strong, familiar hand grasped the root and pulled it up with ease. I gawked at the hand, giving me the rare plant.
"W-wh-wha...?" I stuttered. I looked back at my helper, seeing the familiar face. I crossed my arms.
"Danny! I could've gotten it!!!" I said.
"Mm hmm..." He said, nodding.
I laughed at him, putting the root in my basket. "What're you doing down here?" I asked him.
"Helping YOU!" He said. I laughed, hitting his shoulders playfully. The thought of last night came to my mind and I blushed furiously. "What?" He said smiling at me. I shook my head shyly.
After we'd finished with our gathering, Daniel told me he had a surprise for me. We walked through the woods until we came to a small stream with flower petals in it. At first I looked at Danny. I gave him a weird look saying 'you want me to get in this pond with you...?' But Daniel shook his head.
"That's not mine...!" He laughed with me as we continued through the wood. Finally we came to a huge waterfall. He spread his wings, jumping off the ground, and flew strait through the water fall.
I must be out of my mind... But I took to the air, and flew through.
---
I'm not going to tell you what was on the other side of the water fall. I'll let you dream.
BUT, I'll give you this;
Those stars were so beautiful...
---
We stood in Daniel's hut just like last night.
"It's my turn now." I said. I slammed him against the wall, my hand on his chest. He grinned at me, seeing what I'd do. I stepped closer and closer until my shoulders skimmed his chest. I could feel is fast heart beat through his tunic. And suddenly I gripped his shirt and pulled him off the porch. My arms wrapped around his neck and I kissed him as we fell. His wings caught the wind as he gripped my waist, keeping me from falling.
"Nice touch." He said grinning.
