"Wait, what?" I said, my voice rising higher and higher as I spoke. They were all PAID to play video games, I was nothing more than a casual player. Would they expect a lot from me, and would this be a recurrent scenario?

James, who must have walked in as Jordan proposed his offer, spoke up immediately. "Jordan, that's the best idea you've had in weeks." Dan chuckled and nodded. "You should join us, Sam, it's just going to be Mario Party 9. We'll save Dark Souls for next week." He said jokingly. I shrugged, relieved that it wouldn't be anything difficult straight away. "That sounds like fun, I'll gladly join. Be warned, though, Birdo is the supreme," I said. They all groaned, indicating that they did not share my enthusiasm for Birdo.

I was still thinking about Seamus' remark on me being cute when Max came up and waved a bowl in front of my face. "Helloooo? Earth to Sam, come on Sam." I blinked a few times and looked at him. "Shit, sorry," I moved from in front of the sink and Max put his bowl in. I glanced up at the clock, which read 4:56 PM. "So, do you guys want to start family game night early?" Seamus said, looking up from the bowl of Captain Crunch he was quickly finishing off. "Yeah, but we should run to the store first, we're low on food," Dan replied, standing up and stretching. "Wanna come, Sam?" he asked, turning to me.

"Sure! I'll just go upstairs and grab my wallet," I walked back up to my room, rummaging in my bag. I finally unearthed it, a dark brown leather with the Ravenclaw house symbol in bronze on the front. I tucked it into my jacket pocket and went back downstairs. James motioned for me to come with him and the others to the garage. Max stayed behind so he could Skype with his girlfriend Renay, so James, Dan, Seamus and I climbed into Jordan's car. I sat between James and Seamus, Dan was in the passenger with a camera in hand, and Jordan was driving.

"Welcome to The Creatures Go Shopping the sequel, with a guest appearance of Sam. You'll get to see the ridiculousness of us getting groceries first hand, Sam. Prepare to be horrified by the amount of money we're about to spend," Dan said, twisted around in his seat to record us. I laughed lightly, and he turned back around and cut the recording.

After 10 minutes of driving, laughter, and teasing, we pulled up to a Safeway grocery store. As we went inside, I grabbed a shopping cart, and hardly a second later James put something in. I looked down at what it was, and was surprised to see a jar of 'Steve's Almond Butter'. I looked at him and raised my eyebrows, and he grinned mischievously. "The rule is when we grocery shop, a random item gets thrown into the cart when we stay stationary for too long." I grinned at the ridiculousness of it and pushed forward.

We were hardly halfway through the store when the cart was full. It was filled with everything from cherry Pepsi to hummus, from a large mixed bag of fun-sized candy bars to frozen french fries. I couldn't help but feel giddy if this was how it would be living with them. I gazed at the scene in front of me fondly; Dan recording and chuckling as James hit Jordan in the back of the head with a frozen pizza, and Seamus staring at them with a dead look on his face, refusing to break eye contact with the camera. His eyes flickered over to me, and I smiled. His composure began to crack, and he broke out into laughter.

He strolled over to me behind the cart while Dan focused on Jordan's screams and James' cackling. "Scoot," he said, and I moved over slightly, my arms still resting on the handle of the cart. He mimicked me, and we pushed the cart forward together to follow the fight between James and Jordan, who had just retaliated by grabbing the pizza right out of James' hands.

"So, regret moving in with us yet?" Seamus asked me, a smirk playing on his lips. I turned and looked at him. He had gorgeous baby blue eyes, the kind of blue that you could stare at and drown in for hours and be perfectly okay with drowning. "Not at all. I'm really excited about living with you guys," I said quietly. He seemed slightly surprised but happy with my answer.
