Chapter 3

That was amazing. I never thought I'd have the nerve to tell him I loved him, or kiss him. "I've loved you since the day we met. " his eyes sparkled. My reply was another long kiss. we both smiled. I realized I was still on his injured chest. so i put less pressure on it, an began to play with his soft hair. He touched my face and pulled it to his. We were nose to nose. Let me just say that was the best feeling ever.

We were talking for a few hours. The sun started to set over the lake. I drew the curtains and knelt by the bed. "I'd better go. "

"Can you stay with me please?"

"I don't-"

"Please. The nurses and healers don't even come until late dust. Please for me?"

"Ok I guess I could spend the night."

I went to the opposite side of the bed and hurried under the covers. He turned his body to face me, with his hands under his head. His beautiful eyes sparkled in the light of the night.

It was his turn to brush my hair out of my face. His hands were warm and soft. The room smelt of chemicals and medical equipment. The blanket over us was scratchy but it reflected off some of our body heat. A few minutes went by. Even though the curtains were closed, the everlasting sunset left scars of bright red, orange, yellow, and pink colors dancing on the walls. Jack sat up on his elbows. "I have and idea," he said.

The next thing I knew was that I was sneaking down to the palace's heavily guarded stables. "Are you sure you are strong enough to do this?" I whispered while turning the corner. "Ya, my chest doesn't really hurt anymore," my wings were now fully out. My clothes were not on me but my feathers covered me. They made a pattern of a skirt and sleeveless top that only went to the top of my ribcage, leaving my Stomach showing. I grabbed Jack's arms up and lifted him to the Ceiling. He wasn't strong enough to fly yet.

We got past the guards. When we arrived in the stables, Skye was whining with joy. To my right was a small unicorn, a griffin, and a giant horse of flames. To the left was a beautiful Phoenix. I opened the gate carefully then put a lead rope on her head. I hopped on and so did Jack. We flew through the cloudless night. I now know where he wants to take me. To Afrodide's cliff. A magnificent cliff were you can see the stars so closely, you can almost touch them.

The sound of Skye landing on the hard surface was softer then usual. She then trotted and Halted on the edge. In the middle of the cliff, was a pond. You could barely see it because of the mist surrounding it. Jack must of saw it because he then said,"I know what you are thinking. Go for it." He knows me that well. I started to run. My wings wrapped themselves against my body. The feathers that only covered half my body now surrounded everything. Just not covering up my feet, hands, neck, and face. The small white feathers turned brown-ish.

When I finally leaped into a dive, the water surrounded me. I took some of it in. Centimeter by centimeter. Inch by inch. Then all of a sudden the gold dust that nearly saved me from the Faerie ran through my body and covered the wound. The last thing I knew, was that the wound was gone and only fleshy feathers remained.

My wings shrunk into my spine once again. I rose up from the cool water and motioned Jack over. " I have just discovered something."

"What?" I didn't know if it would work though. "Sit down and lean forward."

"I'm liking were this is going." You weirdo I thought smiling. He put his hand in mine. Then all of a sudden, water that I had taken in a few minutes ago ran up my arm to his. The water made its way to all the cuts. Then the gold dust that surrounded my wound went into all if his. And they we gone.
