Gravity Defiant

Chapter 6

The figure moved closer to me........HOOP! "what the hell are you doing-" he grabbed my waist before i could finish, and pulled my really close to his chest. He stroked my hair out of my face and kissed me. At first I struggled to get out of his grip, but then I let him. My stomach filled with butterflies.

I really don't want to admit this but he's a better kisser than Jack. Except jack makes me feel safe. I don't know about Hoop. When he finally let go, I just gave him a very weird look. What have I done?! I barley know this guy. And I loved Jack! "I know you don't want to be queen" he said "and if you come with me you won't have to worry about that." He wanted me to choose between him and my kingdom.

"I know that you clearly can't choose between me and your kingdom" can be read my mind? "no I can't. And I love Jack. I shouldn't of let you kiss me. How did you get in my room?"

"Lets just say I have a gift" a gift? I have a gift. He could be my only chance to finding out why. But since its very very rare for angels to have them, and not for guardians... I didn't even know if he was an angel. But why would, if he was a guardian, say he had a gift? "A gift? what kind of a gift?" I could play the stupid game just as well.

"I can move things with a snap of my finger. And water is a strength." Water!? did he have the same gift as me? I needed to know more, i just didn't trust this guy. He was bad news. "How?" I tried to act more innocent. If he found out I have an ability like him....

"Practice. There is lots of things water can do for you." He raised his hand in the air, and practically took the water out of the air. He then shaped it into a snowflake. I'm pretty sure that he froze the snowflake and it stayed in the shape without melting.

"Amazing," I whispered. "I-I have the same gift. " I admitted. His grin left his face. "You do?" he stepped closer with his eyebrow raised. "Yes. Except gold dust forms."

"Incredible. " He took time to analyze me "I need to go. "

"Wait-" but he had already escaped out of the window.

I slept in that morning. Jack had came in my room a couple hours before I woke up and laid next to my body with his arm stretched to my side. I feel so guilty about the kiss. I shouldn't of let him. I should of slapped him and told him to leave. But I didn't. I let a total stranger take advantage of me. But that stranger had a secret, and I knew I would need him. He wouldn't be a stranger for long.

I should probably get my mind off things. I decided to go with Skye alone, to the pond I had ventured in a week before. I was about ready to enter the stables when Sage stopped me. "Princess Dustian!" she yelled for me. "Hurry come quick it's Siverous!"

I flew down the corridor as fast as I could. I entered the room where my little brother lied on the bed bleeding. Badly. So badly that blood soaked through the mattress and to the floor. "What happened!"

" we don't really know. I mean something big did this. But we don't understand why it didn't attract the attention of the guards."

"When did it happen?" anger raged through me. "maybe last night but we just found him a couple hours ago. The wound is deep and past our abilities to heal." My mom and dad bursted through the door. "Oh!" my mother Yelled in pain. She knelt by the bed and Rubbed her fingers through his dark blonde hair and calmly tried to sooth him. I needed to get out of the room. My head was growing fuzzy and I felt like I was spinning. The stent of fresh blood was to strong.

I grabbed Skye and took off. The air was stale, black clouds were still hanging around from three days ago. I just started to ball. My brother was about to die. I may never see him again. My life and fate wasn't going in the right direction lately. But then I thought to my self. "Shit! I have the ability to heal!" quickly I jerked on Skye's hair forcing her to turn in the direction I wanted her to go in. I wiped the remaining wind dried tears out of my eyes.

But how could I heal with everyone around.

I couldn't tell nor show them my 'healing powers'. But could I leave my brother to die? haha. I smirked in my head. I have a plan.

The Pegasus jointed to a stop as we reached the hard ground. I was scared she might even fall. My wings stretched to their full length, and I was ready for a fast flight. Where was Hoop? He was now my main priority to find.
