Chapter 11

Jack and I held hands as we walked towards my room. He then lifted me up right off the ground, and hugged me tightly into a princessey position. I firmly rapped my arms around his neck. Holy shit he was sexy!! "Kiss me." He whispered in my ear, "kiss me like you mean it. "

At first I lightly brushed my lips on his. Teasing him. Then I kissed him. I kissed him like I met it; like I was never going to see tomorrow again.

He dropped me off at the large doors, that entered in my room. "Are you sure you don't want me to sleep in here tonight?" he asked with such passion in his voice, "no you need some sleep. It's bad enough that I keep you up all night." I replied. "Ok suit yourself. " He kissed me, but only for a moment, and left.

Later that night, I woke up to light footsteps outside my door. I left my warm, cozy bed to investigate. The heavy air around me suffocated my body, making each step toward the door more painful then the last. The air didn't seem normal. Odorless and I couldn't see it, made it seem invincible. It left a bitter taste in the back of my throat. And smelt strangely familiar.

Finally reaching the door, I placed my warm hands on the freezing metal, forcing the knob to the right. The sound of creaking hinges and scraping wood, annoyed my ears. opening that door was a big mistake. I just wish I would of known before it happened. And I knew who it was even before I could see his cold face and hear him speak.

"Hello love. It's good to see you." He said smoothly.

"What do you want Hoop?"

"Oh I'm just returning the favor. " What favor could he possibly give me at 3am? "The one where you leave 'lover boy' and join me. Unless you want certain people....dead." Could he read my mind? Hear my thoughts? Why does he always say join? And why did he put so much energy on the last word....dead?

"I will never come with you anywhere, and I certainly will never, leave Jack."

"I was afraid you'd say that" he raised his hand a few inches from his chest. And out of nowhere, a torch appeared. He pointed his finger at the tip, and lit it. With fire. I stood there wide eyed. I thought he could only bend water. Not make things disappear, reappear, and lite things on fire. There is no known person -or anyone- who can do that.

The flame vanished and was replaced by a purple smog. Trails of it flew into the air, giving me back that suffocated feeling. I think I know what it was. It's this... smoke that makes.....you...f-fall...asleep. Before I knew it I blacked out. The only noise I made that could warn anyone to save me, was a loud thud as I hit the ground.

I woke up on hard rock. None of which was easy to identify because of the darkness. I felt my body for broken bones or blood. None. Good, maybe this was a mistake. I trusted Hoop. How could he have betrayed me? I played back that word in my mind. Betrayed. He betrayed me.

A stream of fast moving air hit my face, awakening the parts of my body that remained asleep. That's when I realized, that I needed water. Without it, my body remained weak, and if I had to fight, I would need the extra energy.

I got up and looked for a source. Wet floor, sound, smell, animals, plants. Something, that could give me a clue. But there was not a thing. Not a trace, it was all vacant.

I remembered something that Jack did. When he wanted to make snow, he would get water out of the clouds and freeze it. Clouds are basically water. I know from one of my science classes, that water gets transferred to the atmosphere. Well the atmosphere is air so maybe... maybe there could be water in the air!

I decided to test me theory. I swooshed my hand upwards, and forced all my energy out. Gold dust ran up and down my arm. Then out of nowhere, water formed. A smile appeared on my face. I began to bend the water. I can't believe I can do this! I sucked enough water out of the air that I could form a dome around my body. So I did, and released my grip on it. The fresh water sprang into my pores nourishing my dry weak body. I could feel my wings, that wanting to spring out of my skin. The extra water hid in the cracks of the rocks, waiting to be evaporated.

A clap pierced the silence. "Well done Dust, well done. " Hoop said.

I sprang to my feet, ready to fight, "why am I here? why do you want me?" Then I noticed something unusual. His eyes. They were pure black.

"Clearly by now you should know who I am. Who my father is." My silence gave it away. "No? I honestly didn't think you were this stupid. I thought you would of figured it out by now."

"Let me introduce Him" he said "Sin Marvel" a giant figure stepped out of the darkness. My jaw dropped. "By looking at your expression, I think you know, exactly who this is."
