Have you ever had a best friend and have those small little moments of admiration of their looks? Some can just shake them off as a random thought while others are even ashamed of it. Not for the fact that they thought their best friend was pretty/handsome or anything but because for one moment they thought that they were crossing a boundary. A boundary which is hard to step out of if you were in, deep. The friend zone as they would call it. The old cliche of falling in love with your best friend is overused right? But why do you think so? Wouldn't it be likely that you would fall in love with someone you spend most of your time with? The person who gets you the most, who understands your problems and is willing to offer a helping hand? A person who has the same interests as you? So why do people see this as overused? It's not like, you can't be best friends and have no attraction towards each other whatsoever, they say. Maybe it really is overused but there's always that moment where you would think that your best friend was attractive, its just that your not attracted by it.
Why am I asking all these questions? And answering them in the process?
Well that leads us to our familiar pair of killers.
As much as Jane didn't want to admit it but yes, she's inlove with Jeffrey Woods. Sure she still acted the same old Jane, having to speak her mind sometimes opposing Jeff's, and as a result would be their childish bickering. But the moment she realized that the cold heartless killer she saw before was a lie, made her think.
For the past years she had no other thought but him, she always chased him around, with one thought in her mind, to kill him. And where did that end up? Its not the way she expected that's for sure.
"Being forced to live with your enemy isn't so bad after all." She thought as she looked back to her recent memories. Their friendship grew stronger the past month and she learned new things about him along the way.
But the most recent information she learned about him made her think the most. He actually regreted killing someone. The girl had doubts before but the look on his face when he talked about his brother washed it all away. He never liked talking about the past, which is probably why he hated her so much before, he knew her before, she was a memory, a reminder of what he did that night. The day he lost everything. The same could be said by Jane though, and one might even say that her situation was worse than his.
Nevertheless they found a way to forget the past and be friends. Heck, she was closer to him than BEN, and he was friends with him longer than she ever was, and last time she checked they never tried to kill each other.
It seemed odd to be best friends with him in such a short amount of time. Yet, she can't help but feel grateful for it.
Anyways, enough with the thought bubble, it's time to bring out the actual story.
Jane woke up to find a note on her door. "Definitely Slendy's work." She thought as she got up and red it.

Good Morning everyone,

It has come to my attention that today we are celebrating the 9th year membership of two of our very own family. Just like every other celebration, we are to have a party for our two friends with the widest grins in the world. Hope everyone cooperates, that is all.
"Widest grins in the world huh?" She asked aloud. Smirking as she already knew who they were, as much as she liked the notes taped to her door everytime, she found it to be more complicated rather than having a calendar marked. Helping out was a must anyway, so the notes aren't really needed anymore.
"I'll never understand how Slender thinks." She commented as she walked out of her door.
"Good morning Jane!" A familiar killer greeted, she didn't need to look to know who it already was
"Morning Jeff, well aren't you happy." She commented
"I'm always happy Jane, or did you forget I literally have a permanent grin stuck to my face?" He responded sarcastically "Oh shush, just tell me why you seem happier than usual." She rolled her eyes, as if she didn't already know why. "Did you forget, what's special about today?" He tilted his head "I most certainly did not." Jane shook her head. "Good, then meet me later at 6." He ordered and went off to breakfast

"He's more excited than I thought he would be." She said aloud to no one in particular. "He sure is, you cannot imagine the immense rambling I had to hear from him. Never knew my Master could talk that way before." Oh wait, someone was there after all. "Hey, Smile. Happy 9th anniversary I guess. If that's what we even call it." She greeted, a large grin plastered on her face. "Thanks, Jane. You know you really made a big impact on him." He commented
"Who?" She asked and tilted her head.
"Jeff, did you not notice how much he changed in the course of a few months? He's more mature, responsible, caring, tidy and above all else happy."
"How do I have anything to do with it?"
"It all started when you two became friends. He's spent the past few weeks thinking of how you two could become closer than before. Heck he even planned out the whole evening with you later." He explained
"What did he have in mind?" She asked curious as to what he was planning and why he was doing it. Sure its his 9th year anniversary in the mansion but did they really have to spend the night alone? They already spent most of their time together heck, they killed together, but are they really that close enough to bail in the middle of his own party just si they could spend the rest of the night with themselves? Seems rather extreme and gave the impression that it wasn't a 'best friend thing' to do, it felt more like a romantic thing. "Sorry can't tell ya, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise." The dog winked at her.
"Awe come on, at least a little hint wouldn't hurt." She pleaded. "Nu-uh Jane, you do know that loyalty is one of my best dog attributes." He shook his head ignoring her plea. The girl looked at him skeptically. "That wan't the case when you kept siding with me instead of Jeff a few years ago." She pointed out in an as a matter of fact tone.
"As loyal as I am to my Master, I have the priviledge to make my own decisions and since I didn't really see you as a bad person I decided to defend you from my paranoid owner." He explained
"Whatever you say." She rolled her eyes playfully. And proceeded to the dining room with Smile behind her.

"Okay, their gone." Hoodie stated as he peeked through the window.
Members of the mansion scheduled a meeting right after Jeff and Smile went out of the mansion.
"So, who is in charge this time?" Masky asked, no one wanted the position so everyone was dead silent, the masked man felt like he was talking to air.
"Nobody?" Hoodie was surprised.
"Yup." Clockwork responded
"I don't want to plan a party, it sounds exhausting." Ej stated
"Me neither." BEN agreed
"Don't look at me, you know how abnoxious and irresponsible I could get." LJ announced.
"So you admit it then?" A familiar teasing voice asked causing Lj to just facepalm
"Not you again." The clown complained "What's wrong LJ? Don't want to see you future wife anymore?" Laughing Jill smirked and winked. "How do you keep popping up from places? And if you do know how, care to do that somewhere else?" He complained "Nope, sorry can't do that puddin, the big man asked for me to help you himself." She explained with a nonchalant area around her and shrugged while Slenderman merely nodded as LJ had a look of betrayal. "Don't call me that." He complained with a tired, grumbling, and annoyed voice. "Sorry, sugar." She sheepishly scratched her cheek as she realized she had just done the same thing again. "Stop giving me weird nicknames, my names LJ. LJ!!!!" he said exasperated "And for the record, you are not my future wife." He added "Awweee why? Are you bitter about a past failed relationship or something and refuse to move on?" She teased in her usual child-like manner. "What? No! Its just-sigh- I give up."
"Oookkkaaay." There was a long awkward pause after that.
"Going back, again: who will take charge?"
"Jane should be the leader." One said
"Wha-me? Why?" She asked
"Well, one, you are close friends with both those two. Another would be that you would probably know ther preferences, besides its not like we can trust BEN even if he knew those two really well.
"Hey! I know I already adnitted that a while ago, but come on at least let me go down easy.." BEN pouted.
"So are you up for it Jane?" Masky asked expecting her reslonse.
"Yeah sure, I think I can handle it. But if anything ends in disaster I'll blame you guys for letting me lead." She joked.
