My smile faded, seeing Jon leaned against a wall, wrapping his hands up aggressively. My eyes landed on his usually untamed hair, his dark eyes, and to his lips which twitched every now an then.
I quickly glanced away when he looked up, not wanting him to catch me staring. However, I had caught his attention.
Turning on my heel, I began to walk the opposite direction of him. After Colby's confession, talking or even looking at Jon would probably be uncomfortable.
"Sarah" I heard a very familiar voice say.
Ignore him.
Speeding my pace, I ignored him, hoping he would just give up. But this is Jon we're talking about.
"Sarah" He said, raising his voice a bit.
Hearing his footsteps picking up the pace made me do the same. I did this until I knew I was running, until I saw a dead end, and until my back was forcefully pushed against a cold wall.
My shoulders were held against the wall by his hands, and I was now looking into his blue eyes which got darker by the second.
"What do you want?" I asked, breaking the silence between us. He took small steps forward before speaking
"What did Colby tell you?" He asked, sounding demanding. I furrowed my eyebrows. How does- What?
"What do you mean-"
"You know what I mean. What did he tell you?" He paused, "about me"
"Nothing, I- He didn't tell me anything" I lied, wanting to prevent future conflict, though lying won't help.
"Sarah, I know that we're not on the same page at the moment, but that doesn't give you the chance to fucking lie to me-"
"Oh just like you did to me?" I asked, raising my voice, "Jon, you have no nerve to talk about lying"
I pushed myself off of the wall, only to slam right back onto it. But it wasn't rough like last time. Looking up, he seemed calm, almost upset on the fact that I brought up the subject.
"Jon- Stop, I'm not telling you anything and slamming me against a wall isn't gonna make me speak" I said, attempting to remove his hands off of my shoulders, though it didn't work the way I planned.
I did get his hands off my shoulders, however, they we're now placed on my hips, backing me up further onto the wall.
"Did he say anything bad about me? Anything that made you upset?" He asked, voice calm.
"Jon I-"
"Tell me, because you know that I can't stand it when you're upset, and if it's Colby then-"
"I'm sorry but I believe him...therefore I'm not gonna tell you what he said. Sorry" I said, sliding out of his grip and walking away.
Yeah I felt bad but I can't get Colby beat up for telling me the truth. Turning around, I saw him punch the wall, before running his taped up hands through his hair.
Did I do the right thing?
