Chapter 1: Court
Bella
"We will get through this, she is in the wrong and you have nothing to be worried about," Justin soothed as he hugged my body tightly outside of the court room.
"But what if she isn't charged?" I doubtfully asked and looked up to Justin's flawless face.
"Then we will get through it but there is no way that the jury will see her as the victim in all of this," Justin commented as he rocked us both slowly.
"Then what about Bruce? He'll hate me for sending his daughter to jail! What about Camp?" I asked frantically.
"Stop stressing over her. Bruce isn't angry at you, he feels extremely guilty for what Jenna has done and he doesn't want her to get off lightly. He obviously doesn't want his daughter to go to jail for this but he doesn't have a choice," Justin shook his head and leant his body on the marbled wall.
"Why is it taking so long, you have to get back to the Rink," I changed the subject as I knew Justin missed worked for today...
"They don't mind, I'm only co-trainer and co-manager, it's only a big deal that I'm not there when Steve and Mitch aren't there," I shook my head knowing Justin was only trying to sugar coat things so I wouldn't freak out.
"When's the next game?" I asked as I now looked up to his striking face.
"Not till January but we just gotta keep them motivated and training for the next 2 months. Don't get me wrong, they're great players but after loosing the Play-offs, no one was happy," Justin explained. It was now November and Justin had tried to explain the game to me and I got some of the basic rules but I still needed time to work on everything although I was determined to learn the game.
"Well, I'm sure you'll get through each game with strong victories," I cheesed and pecked his lips. Justin ginned and kissed my forehead as I laid it back down on his chest, just waiting for this grueling day to be ov --
"Isabella, the court is ready," I heard Ralph call as he stepped to the side of me and Justin. I sighed heavily and pulled out of Justin's grasp, straightening out my black dress and fitting my jacket I stood straight and nodded to Ralph.
Ralph is my fathers attorney who has been the family lawyer for as long as I can remember. Thankfully we don't see him on a regular basis but he is still a close friend to all of us.
"You'll be fine," I felt Justin's lips against the shell of my ear as he left a sweet peck. I closed my eyes and took Justin's large hand, allowing him to slowly lead me to the court room.
Taking a deep breath as we opened the large wooden doors, people were still talking to each other although I didn't know who many of them were. Bruce was seated on the left side in a wooden pew on his own with other spectators behind him in others pews. On the right, Annie, Sav, Ryan, Jason, Chaz and Liam were all talking quietly in one pew. I gave them a small wave before Ralph and I walked through the small wooden gate, leaving Justin behind it.
I nervously sat down in my seat and almost jumped right back out as I felt someones hands slip around my waist. I turned back to see Justin leaning forward and his arms through the small gaps in the little wall separating us. I smiled and craned my neck back to give him a small kiss.
"All rise for Judge Johnson," A voice boomed making me pull back from Justin and slowly stand up with Ralph.
Judge Johnson walked in from the door behind the huge desk and sat down whilst the jury the filed in with Jenna now walking in from a side door, hand cuffs still adorned her wrists and I felt slightly guilty that she had to go through something like this but then again, I didn't ask her to fucking drug me...
