•I should be locked away, tbh.

Gilbert, weakly taking Matthew's hand, slowly spins him in a circle as Matthew tries to hold back tears. Gilbert begins to quietly sing; "You are my sunshine.. My only sunshine.." The two spin once more, this one causing Gilbert obvious pain. "You make me happy, when skies are grey.." Gilbert's legs begin to shake with the effort that it takes to keep him standing. "You'll never know dear, how much I love you...-" Collapsing into Matthews arms weakly, Gilbert is unable to finish the song. He smiles up at Matthew one last time, trying with every ounce of his remaining energy to say the final line. "Please........" Gilbert's last breath leaves his body, and Matthew collapses to his knees, still hugging Gilbert close. Matthew, very quietly through choked sobs and tears, finishes the song for his love; "Don't take my sunshine away..." Matthew clutches Gilbert closer, sobbing as Gilbert's body begins to fade out of existence.

As though he had never existed.
