We all went with the guys to the soundcheck. Sophie and I stood on the ground in front of the stage, whilst Dean filmed it and Joe and Fin stood by the side.

They performed all their songs that they would be doing at the concert, and they sounded amazing.

Their last song was Wildheart and Brad kept looking at me and it made me blush.

Sophie noticed and grinned at me.

We helped them carry their instruments back into the tent when they had finished,

“Joe.” James began, “How much time do we have before we need to be back here?”

“About 2 hours.” He said.

“Shall we go and try and find Lawson?” Brad asked.

The guys all agreed and they started to walk off.

“Em? Sophie? You coming?” Brad called back.

Sophie grinned at me and we caught up with them.

“Sorry, we thought you guys just wanted to go!” I said.

“Nahh you two can’t just sit around for 2 hours.” Brad smiled at us.

We walked around the various tents and finally found Lawson, who were sitting around and chatting.

“Hey guys!” I heard from the tent.

The boys greeted Lawson and then introduced us to them. They were such nice guys and I couldn’t believe that I was talking to them.

“Want to play some footie?” Andy asked us.

“Yeah sure!”  James said.

“You girls want to play?” He said to us.

“We can try!” I laughed.

Sophie and I walked behind Lawson and the boys to a fairly big patch of grass away from the tents.

We kicked around the ball for a while which was great fun.

Sophie and I really weren’t very good, but we had a go.

James and Connor were the best and they could do all of these fancy tricks which were really impressive.

It was Lawson vs the boys and us.

I mainly just ran around trying to get involved, but they were all too good.

I did manage to kick the ball really well to James who shot a goal, which I was proud of. I felt like I had contributed to our success.

Sophie and I stopped playing after a while and sat down on the grass at the side, next to the collection of phones. The boys had put them there because they didn’t want to drop them whilst playing.

Sophie and I were chatting, when I saw one light up out of the corner of my eye.

I looked and saw that Joe was ringing.

I picked it up.

“Hello this is Emily.”

“Oh hello Emily. It’s Joe. Where are you?”

“We are playing football behind the tents.”

“Could you guys come back now? It’s like half an hour before the boys are performing and they need to relax and get ready.”

“Yeah sure we can herd them back.” I laughed.

“Great. See you soon. Bye” He hung up.

“We need to head back.” I told Sophie, who pulled a sad face at me, and stood up.

She gathered up the phones as I went over to tell them that we needed to go.

“It was great to meet you guys!” I said to Lawson as we were leaving, and they hugged us before we headed back to our tent.

Sophie handed back everyone’s phones as we were walking and when we arrived Joe was looking worried.

“We are here. Don’t stress mate.” Brad said to Joe.

Joe handed him this strange object which looked like a teapot, but it had a piece of pipe or something sticking out of the top.

“What’s that?” I asked him.

“It helps my throat and voice.” He told me.

I laughed at him as he sucked the pipe and steam blew out of the pot.

He pulled a funny face at me and I giggled but looked down at the floor to stop myself laughing as I saw Tris walking over towards us.

“What are you two talking about?” He winked.

“Gosh Tris. Leave us alone!” Brad glared at him.

“Alright, alright.” He smirked and walked away.
