It was finally Friday and I was sitting, impatiently tapping my fingers on the desk, waiting for our form tutor to finish registering us.
The bell rang, after what seemed like hours and Sophie and I rushed out of the classroom to grab our stuff.
Sophie’s bags were all at home as we were going to hers before we caught the train, but I had all mine with me, underneath my locker.
We hugged and said goodbye to Martha, because it was half term, and we then rushed off to find Sophie’s mum, who was in the car at the back of school, waiting to drive us to her house.

We arrived at Sophie’s house and ran immediately up to her room to get changed.
I put on my outfit I had planned and Sophie put on her leggings and baseball t-shirt with her denim jacket and converses.
I left my school uniform in Sophie’s room in a bag, which she could give to me later in half term, because we would obviously meet up again before school started.
Before we left to walk to the train station, I said hello to Sophie’s fish.
Martha and I had got her these fish for her birthday, as she had never had a pet before, and it was definitely the best fricken birthday present ever.
Sophie called for me from the front door, downstairs, and I ran to her, with all my bags, and put on my shoes.
“Bye.” Sophie shouted to her mum.
We closed the door behind us, and walked to the station.
It wasn’t a long walk and luckily it was mainly downhill so we reached our destination after about 5 minutes.
Sophie led the way to the ticket machine, and we got our tickets without much fuss.
I took one of Sophie’s bags for her because she was carrying more than me and we headed straight to Platform 4 as a train would be arriving in 3 minutes.
We just made it, and jumped onto the train, luckily finding two seats next to each other.
We put our bags on the floor by our feet and Sophie got out her phone and headphones for us to listen to music.
The journey was quite long, but it was great fun as we chatted and listened to Panic! At The Disco and The Arctic Monkeys, along with a few songs from Kodaline, which Sophie particularly wanted.
I remember Sophie questioning my music taste a while back, because she never thought that I would be into ‘Rock’ music, as she never saw me as that kind of person. I guess Brad has influenced me slightly, but now I think about it, I do understand where she is coming from, seeing as I am shy and quiet.
The train finally arrived at our destination and we got off, looking around the station for signs.
I spotted a ‘way out’ sign and we followed it until we came out of the station.
We walked over to a wall, a few metres away, from the main exit, so we could get organised, and Sophie called James, who was going to pick us up from the station.
He was only a couple of minutes away, which was excellent timing.
We dumped our bags in the boot when he pulled up by the pavement in front of us, and clambered into the back.
“Hi.” James said to us as we put on our seatbelts, and he started to drive to Tris’ house.
“Hello.” We both replied.
“Tris’ house isn’t that far away from here. How was the journey and school today?” He asked us.
“The journey was fine, but school was boring as usual.” I answered him.
