I hovered over a battleground on earth. As I looked out over the land all I saw was smoke, bloodshed, and fleeing people. Below me human soldiers fought alongside angels, fae, and the Siren Queens. The fight was taking place in an expansive field somewhere in the back country of Kansas. They were starting to trickle out of the big cities to the small towns and rural areas now that they had destroyed and caused enough mayhem in the well populated cities. I tightly gripped the key to our unity in my hand. Anger fueled my resolve.

Phina's wicked fiery wings flapped furiously behind her as she used them to maneuver around the battle. She joined her soul sister on the land, whose opposing ice wings were beautifully frozen in the air. They danced around each other elegant and deadly as a storm of fire and ice whirled with them. Their elemental fury only harmed the demons and the evil humans fighting for the wrong side. Phina blasted her foes with spheres of fire while Maya shot icy spears at those who dared to approach her. Klaus and Cael were there with their wives, each with their signature weapon. Klaus had his bow and arrow and Cael used his great sword that had his name engraved in it. Watching all four of them kicking ass together, blending together seamlessly, was clearly fated. Every move was deliberate and perfection. They were a force to be reckoned with.

Syri and Marc were there in the battle, but they weren't alone. They had forged a new Squad of sorts with Dom and Sueki who were equally devastating fighting partners. Sueki knew how to easily kill her brethren, while Dom had been literally born for this purpose. He had a crossbow in one hand and a glock in the other. I even spotted Renata and Keegan working eerily close together. The Ice Queen hacked mercilessly at a demon rushing towards her and then she whirled and shot ice shards at another. An evil Fallen Angel quickly approached her unguarded backside. As she turned, Keegan brought him down with his sword. She cast him a dark glare as if to warn him away from helping her or taking a kill from her. He winked haughtily.

The human soldiers who fought were often dazed by the lovely angelic beings and ancient supernatural fae who protected them and worked with them to defeat the enemy. But they still worked together seamlessly.

Gabby was there in the chaos twirling around and slashing large disgusting beasts with an angel glass dagger. Gods I was so in love with her and proud of her, no matter what my lovesick heart said. She was beautiful and ferocious as she spun on her heel and stabbed her dagger into the heart of a lesser demon. She always liked to switch her weapon of choice. She loved them all. The humans preferred fighting with guns with custom angel glass bullets, but the Atlanteans and ancient creatures they fought with still believed that a sharp blade or pointed arrow was best.

I left the scene behind me and teleported to my next destination.

Ever since the war had started, I had strengthened the boarders of my realm to protect my people. The minute someone crossed over with an unknown aura it was like a ripple effect took place. My senses were alerted, my guards filed in reporting the same sensation, and then the forests started to whisper of a visitor. After I tracked said visitor to the Atlantean ruins and realized the Fate Rosaline was with the cloaked person, I waited for them to finish their business and come out. The stranger ended up being Alduin, our new King God and the man who had stolen Gabriela's heart forever. After Alduin teleported from my realm, Rosaline slowly walked the path and paused over the bridge.

"It's nice to finally meet you in person, Alexios." The pixie like beauty spoke.

I dropped my invisible glamour and bowed before her. I kissed her knuckles, murmuring, "Your intrusion is always welcome, Rosaline."
