Chapter - 16: May the Force Be With Me

Jade's P.O.V.:

We were sitting Armaan's car and for a while there was this awkward silence. I was never really a person to start conversations. I'm weird that way. Suddenly, he asked me to choose between DC and Marvel the next thing I know is that we were discussing why Captain America is better.
The café was quite close to my house yet we reached it in like 15 minutes; because, traffic.
The café was kind of a quiet place. We took a seat and decided what to order. I chose Java chip Frappuccino with a slice of a Nutella and Cookie cake while he went for just mocha.

We sat down at a booth meant for four. I planned on telling him the stuff about me after we got our drinks.
"You were gonna tell me the story of why you know Morse code really well; remember that?"
"Yeah, I do." I smile at the memory.
"I was weird from the very beginning. I loved breaking and making codes. Don't tell anyone this, but I borrowed this book from my school's library in fourth grade and forgot to return it. The book's name is Cracking Codes. The librarian never asked me about it."
He let out a light chuckle and said, "How the hell did they not notice it?"
"I guess I was too good at being invisible?"
"Maybe to them, but for me you would've never been invisible. You are to amazingly brilliant to be hidden in random shadows."

If I was a fruit colour, I'd be a cherry red right now.

"Anyway," I continue trying not to smile so much that my cheeks hurt. "I loved writing random sentences and transmitting it to someone. I forced some of my elder cousins to memorise the code like I did. It was just stupidity on my part." I say with a laugh. "You really were weird as hell." he laughs along. "But I'm weirder. For instance, I dreamt that somehow all the people around me had turned to horses,"
"What the hell?" I giggled and tried to stifle my monstrous laughter.
"That was not even the odd part. The odd thing was that for no apparent reason, I was an irritated llama. I don't even like llamas."
I couldn't control my laughter and I just let it go.
"What the actual fuck, dude." I said between the laughs.
Armaan just laughed along looking at me in a weird that wasn't creepy. The look made me feel emotions I didn't think existed.

At this moment, a waiter got us our order.
"A Java chip Frappuccino with a slice of our delicious Nutella and Cookie cake for the pretty lady," he place it in front of me on the table, with a seemingly genuine smile, "and a cup of piping hot mocha for the gentleman."
We thanked him and I dug my spork into the cake and raised the spork to Armaan's mouth because of habitual indifference. He didn't hesitate from eating it up.
"You know I've never had Nutella in the nineteen years that I've lived."
The spork stopped right at the entrance to my mouth.
"Do not tell me how; but just tell me, why?"
"Yeah well, I'm weird that way, I guess." He said with a casual shrug.

I have him a weird look and took a bite of the slice of heaven and ordered another.

It got comfortably quiet while we ate then I got this nagging feeling in my gut. I know I need to tell him though it is not something that would affect him. But still he deserves to know that and a lot more.
I was about to speak up, when he started,
"Babe," Armaan said rubbing the scruff of his neck, "I have this thing with my blood. We are one of the older family lines. So our blood is like really, really powerful."
"So your bloodline has higher level of Midichlorians?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh I wish that was the case. That'll be so much more awesome. But no that is not what is up. When I hadn't found you, it didn't matter. Now that I have found you, it does."
"Armaan, you better start making sense."
"Our bodies are connected, mentally and sort of physically. For me, whatever pain or happiness or any emotion my Other Half goes through, I'll go through the same simultaneously at a diminished level. If you fall down and scrape your right knee, I'll feel a slight pinch on my right knee. If you feel low, I'll get this empty feeling in my gut. If you are happy for any reason, I'll be a cheery person. If you orgasm, I'll-"
"I got it, but how does this even work. I mean, it is fucking insane. Like why only after we meet, why not before that? Besides how did this gene even enter your bloodline?"
