The next morning I woke up on the couch cuddled to Alexander. I rubbed my eye as I sat up and walked towards the kitchen.
I was greeted by my parents. My mom was cooking something on the stove and my dad was reading the newspaper.
"Good morning son. Slept well?" My dad asked.
"When did you come home and why didn't you wake me up?"
"We came around 10 last night and we didn't want to disturb you two cute lovebirds." My mom said.
Alexander walked into the room and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. My mom smiled at us and continued, "You guys hungry? I made breakfast. Dig in."
We were all sat around the table eating what my mom had made.
"This is really good Mrs. Bohn." Alexander said.
"Oh thank you Alexander. And just call me Mary. I hope you have enjoyed your stay here and remember you're always welcome to stay at our house. How long are you staying here for?"
"Um... I'm leaving tonight."
Hearing that felt like a stab straight to my heart. I didn't want him to leave. It felt like Germany all over again, when I had to leave. Alexander noticed how upset I got and planted a kiss on my cheek.
After breakfast I wanted to show him San Francisco before he'd leave. I showed him placed we usually hung out and other sights.
We met up with my friends at the beach. I would have loved alone time with Alex but my friends wanted to get to know him better and who am I to go against that?
We walked hand in hand over to where Isaac, Kira and Scotty were sat.
"Hey cuties." Kira greeted us with a smile.
"Hey." We greeted them in unison. We sat on the planked covering the sand so that I was sat between Alex's legs and my back against his chest.
"Can you two just... not, like I'm actually trying to eat here and your "puppy love" is annoying me." Scotty complained. I laughed and kicked him.
"Don't be so bitter Scotty-baby." Kira joked. I looked over to Isaac who looked still distant and something was telling me his little crush on Kira wasn't his only issue around. As I was looking at Isaac his face lifted up to me and he gave me a faint smile. Yeah I need to find out what's up with him.
"Jamie... want to go swimming?" Alexander asked me.
"But we didn't bring swimwear." I replied.
Alexander laughed and got up from the ground. His hands reached the bottom of his shirt and lifted it.
"Who needs swimwear anyway." Alex laughed as he stripped off the rest of his clothes leaving him in his boxers. I stared at his almost naked body. I felt the redness flush to my face as I continued to stare at him.
"Coming?" He asked reaching his hand to me. I hesitated for awhile but I gave in and stripped off most of my clothes.
"That's a view I could get used to..." Kira joked. I blushed even more and moved even loser to Alex, who was beginning to walk towards the ocean.
We reached the shore line and Alex grabbed my hand. I turned to him and smiled. The water was chilly which was normal this time of the year. Alexander let go of my hand and dived into the water which caused the water to splash all over me.
"You dick!" I shouted as I jumped on him.
"Alright, alright, alright. I had that coming." He laughed. I wrapped myself around him and gave him a smirk.
I connected my lips to his and we fell into a deep kiss.
We were interrupted by Kira shouting, "Get a room you two!"
We broke apart and laughed at her comment as she made her way to us.
"I needed to get away from these two. I don't know what's up with them but I feel like they might murder each other." Kira explained.
I parted myself from Alex and swam closer to Kira. I caught her off guard and lifted her into arms, bridal style.
"Jamie let me down!" She shouted.
"Why would I? You make a such cute baby..." I said.
"I really hate you. Aleeeeex help meeeee." She whined. Alexander laughed and shook his head. I smirked at Kira before throwing her into the water.
"This calls for revenge!" Kira shouted as mover closer and closer to me. I quickly moved behind Alex as a plan to use him as protection.
We probably played in the water for hours cause the sun was starting to set and the skyline was painted in different shades of pink. Kira walked in front of us leaving us behind.
"I really don't want you to leave. Can't you just stay, please?"
Alexander wrapped his arm around me, "I wish darling, but I have to. I'm sorry Jamie."
The car ride back was dead silent. No one said a word. Kira and Isaac sat in the back quietly with Alex and I in the front. I felt Alexander's eyes on me but I didn't dare to look at him. I already missed him and he hadn't even left yet.
After dropping Isaac home we arrived back to my house.
"My plane leaves in an hour so I probably need to leave soon." Alexander stated with the hint of sadness in his voice.
"Okay." I said as my voice cracked.
Alexander picked up his bag from my room and came back to Kira and I downstairs.
"I ordered you a taxi. It should be here in few minutes." Kira said.
We went outside to wait. I walked over to Alex and wrapped my arms around him lowering my head against his shoulder. Tears filled my eyes.
I'll be back before you know it, Liebling (darling)" He whispered in my ear.
Alexander Lifted my head and kissed me on the cheek. Even he was smiling I could see the tears forming in his eyes. We kissed one last time before he got into the taxi and left.
I watched the taxi drive down the street and disappear behind the corner. I couldn't hold my tears anymore and started to sob. Kira came over to me and hugged me tightly.
"It's gonna be okay."
I knew it wasn't going to be okay until I was back with Alex again.
