As the night went on I had almost forgotten about all of my worries and gotten to have fun. Part of it was probably because of the alcohol but who cares. And not to forget we got to spend time with J'adore De freaking Rose was awesome. Not many people can say they have partied with a pretty famous person.
Probably the most funniest part was though that most people actually thought Scotty date was a woman. Yes cause most high school girls wear over 6 inch heels with a very tight and short dress. Also he looks over 20 which he is but that wasnt the point.
"Ladies and Gentleman, hope youre all having awesome time at the prom." Our principals voice echoed thru the speakers.
"It's finally the moment everyone has been waiting for drum roll please... The prom king and queen!"
"Oh shit I hope I don't win."
"Good luck boo." Kira whispered to me.
"Our prom king is... Jamie Bohn!!" The principal shouted into the mic. Everyone around my started cheering and clapping. "Shit."
"Congrats babe." Alex said as he kissed my cheek. I was shocked I didn't know what to do. I felt someone pushing me from behind and telling me to get on stage. I looked behind me and it was J'adore.
I walked thru the crowd of people. Most of them looked happy but there was the football team who werent looking happy about my win.
At the stage the principal hugged me and she whispered congrats in my ear. The crown was placed on the top of my head.
"And now well relieve who is Mr. Bohns royal pair. And it is oh. And our 'queen' is Alexander Schulz!"
My mouth dropped wide open. What?! I looked over to Alex who seemed shocked too. I dont know how is this possible since he wasnt nominated but Im down. I watched Alex walk thru the same sea of people cheering and clapping.
After getting his crown which was made for a queen but whatever... details
"Looks like we have two kings then, awesome. Sorry about the crown we didnt have time to get another one, but anyway congratulations boys. Would you like to say a few words to your voters?" The principal asked.
We both stepped forwards over to the mic.
"Um... This is cool Thanks to whoever voted for me. Never thought I'd stand here so cheers." I said briefly and looked over to Alexander.
"Hey people I really don't know you all yet but this is cool to be your prom king. Thanks!" He said.
"KISS, KISS, KISS!!" I heard someone chant from the crowd. I looked where the yell came from to Kira. Obviously.
All the sudden the whole crowd of people started chanting the same "KISS, KISS, KISS!!"
I looked to Alex and whispered him, "Should we?"
He thought about it awhile and then turned completely to me. I stared at him with a question look on my face. Alex put his hand behind my neck and slowly pulled me into a kiss. His soft lips against mine felt like heaven. I heard the crowd cheer and scream for a second till it all disappeared into the background. It felt almost like we were in slow motion.
"Okay that's enough, save some for the dance."
We broke apart and walked down on the dance floor together. The music started blasting loudly from the speakers silencing the crowd surrounding us. The space between us disappeared as we stepped closer to each others bodies. One spotlight shining onto us made this moment seem kind of magical.
I slowly laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes shut.

I listened to the lyrics of the Ed Sheeran song playing and the song described everything I was feeling at that moment. Alexander was the one and the only for me, the love of my life.
"I love you so much Alex, never forget it." I whispered into his ear as we were dancing in circles on the middle of the floor. Alexander placed a big but tender kiss on my cheek.
After having are stupidly romantic moment in front of everyones eyes we returned back to our friends.
"Are you crying Kira?" I wondered.
She laughed and tried to cover it, "Me? Never."
"Well I think that was cute as hell. I wish when I was in high school everyone would have been this accepting. Congrats." J'adore smiled. "Oh and you guys are totally welcomed to come see my show anytime when I'm around just call me and let me know when. I'd love to have you there. Anyway now Scotty get your ass on the floor and lets go shake this building down." She continued.
The night went on, we all laughed and danced. I felt like I had no worries in the world and it felt like everything was going to be okay for a second.
The end of the prom is when I finally checked my phone. There was 10 calls from my mother and text that said,
'call me soon as you can, its about your father.'
I dialed my moms number. Every ring my heart was beating faster and faster. I felt my heart in my throat. The anxiety was taking over every inch of my body. Please be alright, please
Finally my mom picked up and in that moment my world came crushing down in the matter of seconds.
