Michael’s p.o.v.
It’s been seven long beautiful months that I’ve been able to call Saria my girl. Each day is truly an adventurous experience with her. Along with the love growing for each other everyday, Saria has grown quite a lot as well. Everyday I watch her waddle around with her cute little belly; she has her moody moments but she’s just too cute, I can’t wait to make her mine and go through this whole situation again except for the fact that it’s my child she’s carrying. I let out a sigh of contentment thinking about the possible future of us; I love her to pieces and don’t know what I’d do without her because she truly is my other half. It never ceases to amaze me how she can walk into the room and still make me feel butterflies in the pit of my stomach. We really have grown as close as possible in this time, and I love the fact that I’m the one who’s getting to be there for her in her journey through this pregnancy. The other day we were lying in bed just cuddling and taking in the peaceful morning moment when Saria freaked out. She scared me so bad but I calmed down as soon as she started giggling, “Michael give me your hand,” she took my hand and lifted her shirt up slightly. She laid my hand across her stomach and held it there for a moment, “Feel it?” At first I didn’t know what she was talking about but sure enough a tiny kick hit my hand from within her stomach, my eyes lit up in excitement as I looked into her eyes. She smiled brightly and continued to giggle at the movement of the baby. Ever since we made it to L.A. she’s had check-ups every month or so and I always go with her; I’ll never forget the first time I walked in with her and went into the check up room with her. As she was sitting there next to the doctor who was in the middle of putting the gel on her stomach, the nurse came up and asked me, “You excited to be a daddy?” I chuckled at her comment not really wanting to make her feel bad, “Yes I am, but this one isn’t mine.” She gave me a quizzical look and turned her attention back to what was going on with the doctor. I’ll also never forget the time I witnessed her first fit of morning sickness, I never understood why they called it that when Saria experienced all through-out the day. But any who, we were cuddling on the couch talking about our futures and dreams when she sat up and ripped herself from my grasp; she ran into the downstairs bathroom and slammed the door quickly. Of course being the concerned boyfriend I am, I followed and knocked on the door. She didn’t answer and all I heard was very violent sounding vomiting. I threw the door open and kneeled down next to her. In between vomiting and gasping for air she begged me to leave, she didn’t want me to see her this way. I shook my head no and continued to hold back her hair and rub her back soothingly as she finished up in the bathroom. After she was done I picked her up and carried her back out to the couch, I gently laid her down and put a cold wash rag on her forehead. I bent down and caressed the side of her face and told her, “No matter what you’re going through, even if you think it’s gross and going to run me off, I’m going to be there for you. Like I said, For all time babygirl.” I really didn’t think it was possible, but seeing her going through this entire situation has made me fall more and more in love with her. Not long ago I woke up without Saria next to me, so I looked all around the house for her. I searched every room for her. I was becoming a little frightened that I couldn’t find her, but I heard faint singing coming from down the hall. I walked to the one room I didn’t look in, and there she was. We had turned it into a nursery for the baby for when it came and there she was sitting in a rocking chair looking out over the ranch at the new morning sun rubbing her stomach and singing. I leaned against the doorway and smiled at her, she was going to one of the best mothers ever. I still laugh at the fact that she about jumped the doctor when he tried telling us the gender of the baby, she had flung herself off of the medical table and put her finger up to the doctors mouth, “Shhhhh! We want it to be a secret.” Through-out all this baby commotion we’ve grown closer; countless evenings holding each other and discussing our lives together in the future, and through-out all this talk I decided after she has the baby Im going to ask for her hand in marriage. I really want her to be with me for always and I really cant see me being happy without Saria by my side. *door slams open and breaks Michael from his train of thought. Maid standing there quite worried* “Mr. Jackson, I think you should come look at this.” She stood in the doorway quite stiff with an expression on her face as if she had just seen a ghost. I stood up not quite understanding her frenzy and followed her down the hall and stair case. “What’s the problem Rosey?” She picked up her speed as she turned the corner and continued down the hall. “Oh Mr. Jackson it’s horrible. Ms. Saria w-was in the kitchen helping Georgia bake c-cookies when she told her s-she needed to use the restroom. Georgia told me she hadn’t s-seen Ms. Saria in a long while a-and thought she decided to just let her bake the cookies alone…………. I was in the process of cleaning the downstairs and came across the bathroom.” She stopped and stood in font of the downstairs bathroom. “Take a look for yourself,” and with that comment she opened the door. There lying in the middle of the floor in a puddle of blood was the love of my life. At that moment all the wind was knocked out of me and I thought I was going to die. I kneed down and called to her, “Saria? Babe wake up!! Can you hear me?” I held her head in my lap as I tried to wrap my head around it. Fury built up in me and turned around and lashed at Rosey, “CALL AN AMBELANCE DAMMIT!!!!!” she ran away with a frightened look on her face. She came back a few minutes later, “They’ll be here very soon.” I let my head dangle as I cried over her body, ‘god please don’t take away my angel. She’s all I’ve ever wanted, please let her be okay. Please….’ The paramedic showed up with a gurney and loaded her up and carted her off to the ambulance. I crawled in lifelessly with them as they begin to hook up multiple tubes to her limp body and yelled things to each other. I felt nothing but numbness, ‘Saria if you leave me, I’m coming too.’
