Michael's P.O.V.

I was pulling my clothes out of the dresser and setting them on the bed folded up, “I can’t believe it’s your last day here,” Saria said as she sat criss-crossed in the middle of the bed. I looked up at her while folding a pair of pants, “I know it feels like it was only a week, it was just that much fun,” I said smiling at her. She smiled back and at that moment I swear my heart skipped a beat, she’s just absolutely gorgeous. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed some stuff I had left in there and brought them back to my suitcase, “I gonna miss seeing that pretty face of yours,” I said avoiding her eyes in hopes she wouldn’t notice how upset I really was. “I’m gonna miss you too, thank you for being so wonderfully caring to me,” she said looking me straight in the eyes. God, how was I going to be able to leave her behind, it’s just impossible for me to. We had spent two weeks together and became so close and had so much fun that I feel like I’ve known her for years. I threw the shirt I was attempting to fold back onto the bed and sunk down in the chair next to the table in defeat. “Is something wrong Mikey?” she asked me as she stood up and began re-folding the shirt I had given up on. I smiled slightly at the way she said my name, it was a nick name she’d started calling me awhile back. I sighed, “I’m not gonna lie Saria, I’m pretty upset about leaving you behind. I know I sound crazy but I’m afraid that you’re going to forget about me when I leave.” She turned around and looked at me with a slight grin, “oh Michael you know I could never forget you, but you have to go on and do your shows, it’ll be fine.” I stood back up and began folding another shirt, “don’t worry it’s not like I’m gonna give you the chance to forget about me, I’ll be back,” I said giving her a devilish smile accompanied by a wink. She was blushing a little and then helped me finish folding my clothes. We worked in silence for about a minute when the most brilliant idea hit me, “Saria?” I said a little afraid of how she was going to respond. “Yes Mike?” she said concentrating on the jacket she was carefully smoothing out and folding. “I was….um..I just wanted…ummm….would you like to go with me? You know to Los Angeles?” I said a little shyly. “I mean only if you want to.” I added quickly to the end of my question. Oh no, what if she freaks out, I mean I am making a very bold step out of my comfort zone, I tend to be shy around women and have the worse problems when it comes to asking them serious questions. She looked up at me with shock in her eyes; she had beautiful eyes that I noticed change slightly. They usually change with her mood; when happy and excited they are a bright popping blue with a burst of the prettiest light green around her pupils, when tired or sad they are a dark blue almost gray, and other times they tend to be completely a breath-taking blue or a simple green. I couldn’t read her expression and her eyes were I mix of the gray and the blue/green, I’ve never seen that combination before and I’m not sure it’s a good thing. She sat the clothing she was folding down and walked over to me. She stopped right in front of me and I let my head hang down trying my very best to avoid her heart-breaking stare. She put her hand gently on my chin lifting it up to look into her bright blue/green eyes; she smiled at me and grabbed my hands. “Michael you know I would love to go with you, but I’m afraid I’d only be in the way of your work and besides I don’t think it’s really necessary for me to take up all your time. I mean your Michael Jackson for crying out loud, you’re a busy individual,” she said calmly with a slight tone of pain in her voice. I knew she was holding something back from me but I didn’t push it. I looked into her eyes as she fought back a tear, I wiped it away and hugged her, “no matter how busy you might think I am, I’ll always have time for you.” I pulled away from the hug and looked her in the eyes very seriously. “Promise me something Saria?” she smiled slightly and whispered, “yes?” I picked her hands up in mine gently rubbing the top of them with my thumbs, “promise that you’ll be here waiting for me, and I’ll promise you that I’ll be back as soon as I’m done with my show,” she looked at me then hugged me back, “I promise” she whispered in my ear as she pulled back and gave me a peck on the cheek. After I was completely done packing, we spent the remainder of the day talking in our usual spot on the balcony, then after the sun went down it got chilly outside. I pulled her into a warm hug and suggested, “Why don’t we continue this conversation inside?” we got up and ate some ice cream sitting in the bed. After we finished eating, we sunk down into the bed laying there looking up at the ceiling. “What do you see yourself doing in the future?” she asked looking directly up, I turned to look at her, “to be honest, I hope to settle down here after awhile and start a family of my own.” I said a little worried of what she’d say. “That’s interesting, I can totally see you as a father,” she said leaning on her elbow looking at me as if she could see into my future herself. “You really think so?” I said smiling at the thought of me being a loving husband and father somewhere in my lifetime. “What about you, do you see yourself settling down?” I said anticipating her response. “Well, before all you know what happened, I thought about it. I think I do want to, but not until I meet the right one. I’ve realized after that accident how short life really is, and if I’m going to live it my happy way, than I’m going to make sure I’m 110% sure that he’s the right one for me.” She said giving a lot of enthusiasm behind her little speech. “Well I would hope you would love who you’re with,” I said a little sarcastically. She elbowed me in the side. I giggled. “No but seriously, I believe you’ll find the right one. You deserve only that and nothing less.” I said shifting my weight on my back as I laid back down and begin to close my eyes. I felt her stop fidgeting altogether and began worrying I said something wrong. Before I could open my eyes and check, I felt a quick peck on the side of my cheek. “You’re too sweet Michael,” she said as she relaxed into the side of me and yawned. “You’re tired, you should get some sleep,” I said as I began to brush her hair back. She laid her head slightly on my chest and closed her eyes, “night Michael,” she said quietly as she began dosing off. I fell asleep that night with smile on my face, if only I could just lay here for the rest of my days that would be perfect.
