Chapter 2

How am I suppose to protect something when I don't even know what it is? I thought as I was on my way to Rapunzel's tower.

When I got there she was painting pictures of snowflakes.

"Hey that's pretty good." I said.

She jumped "You could've knocked."

"Yeah, but that ruins the element of surprise." I smiled.

"Why did you come back?" She asked

"Because you asked and I like coming here."

"You're nothing like I thought you'd be, I honestly thought you'd be like an elf or something." She said looking at me attentively .

" oh trust me elves are a lot smaller."

"You've seen elves?" She asked.

"Yeah they work at The workshop."

"Really what's that like?"

"Well it's filled with elves and yetis and they make toys for all the children in the world! It has anything a kid could dream of."

"Wow that sounds amazing!" She smiled.

"Maybe I can take you there sometime."

"Oh I couldn't do that." She replied sadly.

"Why not?" I asked.

"I'm not allowed to leave my tower. The world is too unsafe, that's what mother says...."

"What?!?! We got to get you out of this tower for some actual fun."

"Jack no I can't! It's too dangerous...."

"We'll be fine....I'll protect you, come on you can not waste your life being stuck in this tower!"

She thought for a few moments letting my words sink in.

"Fine....my mother will be gone for a five day trip she'll be leaving tomorrow morning, but you have to promise me one thing." She said.

"You take me to see the floating lights."

"You mean the lanterns?" I asked.

"So they aren't stars! Yes the laterns!"

"Fine deal, I will see you tomorrow."

"Good bye Jack."

"Goodbye Rapunzel."

MEANWHILE

"How long should it take you?" Pitch asked.

"5 days, but it will be worth it." A female voice said.

"It better be, defeating the guardians with this much power would be a great thing. I shall be King of the Night and the world."

"And I will be your immortal queen." Gothel said coming out of the shadows.

"Yes, just find the spell and come back as soon as you get it." Pitch replied.

"Oh I will," she said
