Chapter 5

"So, how's Japan?" My mother asked Jinhwan who's currently sitting opposite me, again.

Jinhwan chuckled a bit and stared at me before answering my mother's question. The reason why he stared at me is maybe because she asked the same question that we asked awhile ago.

He replied the same thing to my mother.

Junhoe hand never let go of mine ever since what happened. I understand why he's acting like this and I won't even complain about it. I know he's afraid, that I might leave him just for Jinhwan, like what I did years ago. Which I did not regret a bit, because that's how I realised my feelings for Junhoe. But I want him to believe in me, we're married now and I need him to trust me. I will never leave him, never again.

"Well, Hae the reason why I called you here today is because I have a important thing to tell you guys." She smiled happily and excitedly. I chuckled at her reaction, what could it be? "Your dad is coming home next week!"

I immediately dropped my spoon when I heard that. What? Dad is coming home next week?!

"Are you kidding me?" I asked while stared at my mother with a shocked expression.

"No, he's coming home next week! And will never go back anymore!" My mouth curved into a smile as soon as I heard that. It's been a long time since I last saw my father, the last time I saw him is on my wedding.

We cried a lot that day, for so many reasons.

Junhoe and the others too smiled.

I turned around and hugged Junhoe. "Oh I miss him so much Hoe ah..." He patted my back and told me everything is back to normal now.

After the dinner we all gathered in the living room. Mom said we should watch some movies to celebrate the good news.

"Horror movies or comedies?" Jinhwan asked while standing beside the rack with some disk in his hands.

"Horror movies please!" I said with my mouth full of popcorn. I leaned my head on Junhoe's shoulder and my sight accidentally landed on Hyelin, she looks uncomfortable. Is it because of the movie? Is she scared of Horror movies?

"Hyelin? Are you okay?" I asked while continually stuffing popcorn into my mouth.

"Ah uhmm.. I'm fine, is just I'm not really a fan on Horror movies." She smiled shyly while rubbing the back of her neck

"Ouh it's fine if you don't wanna watch, I'll ask Hwan to change." I was about to ask Jinhwan to change the film but she stopped me.

"No it's fine unnie." I looked at Junhoe, asking him what to do.

Junhoe looked at me then back to Hyelin. "Well then Hyelin if you're scared just hug your boyfriend." He said and I nodded my head with a smile.

"Yeah sure..." she smiled a bit and looked down at her laps, playing with the hem of her skirt.

It's weird isn't it?

Somebody kill me please, this book is getting boring, and I should focus more on Haejung and Jinhwan. I will though, just not yet.
