Harrys POV:
I sat around the flat that I shared with Lou admiring my hands because I had nothing better to do my phone beeped alarming me that I had an email. Even though my life had changed so much I didn't change my email. I felt no reason to, mindlessly opening it I found that it had been an email from none other then Kevin Token.
"Hey mate, not sure if you'll get this but who knows. I just wanted to let you know that Bailey is back in the UK. She's here in London. I know that you're going on this whole positive life change bullshit but I thought I'd let you know." That was all. Only that she was in a hands reach but yet so far away. My whole body started to buzz and I soon found that I could no longer sit down. My foot started to shake as my hand played a lazy tune against my thigh.
"Mate are you alright?" Louis spoke cheekily.
"Yeah. I just need to go for a walk." I spoke rushing towards the door. I didn't know where I was heading but I didn't care. I needed air, in the flat I felt like I couldn't breath. I came across a park with a lone tree far from any of the others. Sitting under its shelter I avoided the few rain drops. My mind wandered to Bailey and how her face crumbled in pain when she saw what we did, I watched as her light left her eyes. I broke the person that she was and I couldn't go back and change any of it. the weather began to change, I couldn't stay out in the open in my thin t-shirt and red flannel.
As I walked through the streets of London I didn't mind the men behind the camera's that sold their pictures of me even though they can sometimes go to far I know that everyone has to make a living. Walking into a small independent coffee shop a couple of blocks away from my flat.
"Hi Harry, what can I get for you?" The familiar worker smiled sweetly at me.
"How are you love? I'll just get a large chamomile tea." I stated as I took out my wallet.
"I'm alright, that'll be £4.25." She smiled again, handing her the money as well as dropping £10.00 into the tip jar and moving to the side so the next person could order.
"Hi, um can I please get a large strong brew coffee and a lemon cake please?" A small girl spoke with a soft voice.
"Of course love! That'll be £9.50 please." I watched as she handed over the money calmly walked over to wait beside me. Her music was just loud enough for me to be able to identify it as That's My Girl by JLS. Wanting to say something to her but having no idea what, when my drink came I had no other choice but to walk away. Going and sitting at a table I realized that I was still unable to stop moving. My foot tapped on the grey tiled floor beneath me. Phone in hand I was cut off from the world until the voice of the small girl from the counter came to my ears.
"I'm sorry to bother you but all of the other seats are occupied. Would you mind if I sat down here?" Most others would be embarrassed to ask a stranger if they could join them but confidence rang through her voice. Sure enough when I looked around every seat was taken. Looking back towards her offering my hand.
"Be my guest." I spoke pleasantly. Not knowing if either of us were going to strike up a conversation I returned to my phone. Going on a whim I went to my email typing a quick message.
"Hey Bailey, I don't know if you still use this but I hope that you do. I heard that you're in London. We should catch up." Setting my phone down on the table sipping on my tea looking out the window. Moments later the young lady's phone in front of me buzzed. My ears tuned in on the sound of her nails on the screen of her phone. I was shocked that my phone buzzed moments after she set her phone back down.
"Why would you want to do that?" I imagined her small voice asking me this. She had always been so sweet and nervous, usually stumbling on her words when I would try and have a conversation with her, I always found it flattering. Trying to think of something to say to her I really couldn't just say,'you know i wanted to apologize for making you feel like you had to move to Canada.
"You didn't say goodbye. It'd be great to see you again." Great now I sound like a creep. Sure enough she was typing away on her phone when my phone told me that my message had been sent.
"I'm really bust right now Harry I have don't have any time to catch up with anybody." I wasn't use to Bailey ever saying no to me.
"Can I get your number? For when you can catch up." I could feel myself becoming desperate for a chance to talk to her. It doesn't matter if it's email, text, phone or face to face.
"I suppose." Taking her number and saving it in my contacts. Looking at the boxy letters that held her contact information i didn't feel like this was real. Was i really just talking to my Bailey? A glimmer of hope glistened through all of the unfocused junk in my life, maybe I really can fix this. Going on another whim I pressed the call button. Bringing the phone to my ear I was shocked as the lady in front of me and picked up her cell phone.
"Hello?"
(Authors note: so obviously I left it off at a cliff hanger, ahah and I've decided to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday!!)
