Baileys POV:
The next day when the girls and I got to the flat my mind was still focused on my chat with Harry I started to make spaghetti for the girls and I. Unfortunately they all know somethings up, multiple times I had someone waving their hand infront asking if I was paying attention to the conversation. Each and every one of my friends gave me a look saying you better be ready to explain but truth be told I'm not. Playing everything that happened in the coffee shop in my head. Every movement and gesture had been etched in my brain. Sighing as my pot of cooked spaghetti noodles fell to the ground, rolling up my sleeves and getting on all fours I proceeded to throw my mess away.
"Ready to talk?" A chipper Mel said as she threw her bag onto the counter above me.
"Not in the least, how was class?" Looking up at her as I scooped the rest of the noodles up.
"It was class, I can't say much about it." Shrugging as she got the container of strawberries out of the fridge.
"How was your day?" She asked as she ripped the stem off before throwing the remainder into her waiting mouth.
"Don't even get me started." I say filling the pot up with water trying to keep my voice even I felt Mel's eyes on me but I didn't want to look up and meet her questioning gaze.
"Alrighty then. Whatever you say." She said as she pulled her books out of her bag. A silence surrounding us and I knew they would find out sooner or later and later seemed much more appealing right now. My water came to a boil as I added the noodles.
"So" She began tapping her pen on top of the counter.
"When are you going to tell me what happened?" Looking over at me through her long black eyelashes.
"I don't know yet." I said hesitantly. How do you tell one third of your best friends that you ran into the villain of your stories? Silence yet again filled the unnerving air around us. Before to long Mollie came through the door from studying at the library or something, another good reason why I should pay attention.
"Hey love you're just in time suppers finished." I stated as I got three plates dishing out food for each of us. Appreciative sighs escaped each of them just before Sammy came in with a frustrated groan.
"I don't understand anything! I don't understand how everything can get so difficult and confusing so fast." Head in hands she plopped down beside Mel.
"That smells so amazing Bay." She said as she watched me make her a plate, putting it down in front of her I watched as she used her fork to stir her food around.
"Actually I think that I'm going to go to my room, I'll eat that for breakfast or something." She said as she walked to her room.
"I'll go check on her." Already walking to her room before my sentence was finished.
Closing the door softly behind me I didn't know if she heard me of just didn't acknowledge the fact that I entered. Even though her back was turned to me I knew that she was upset.
"What's wrong?" My curiosity getting the best of me. I recognized that most of my curiosity come from being worried. Watching your friend crumble in front of you like delicate ash in the palm of a careless and destructive person is a situation that no one wants to be put in.
"I came all of this way, all the way to the United Kingdom to fail my classes. I should just go back to Canada that way I won't be so useless. I mean your paying most of the rent and my parents are paying my tuition my whole life is being given to me on a plater." Her frustration peeking with each passing word.
"Sammy, just breath okay everything will get easier I promise. Don't go home right now, test out the waters if it doesn't get better within six months then go back but don't give up yet." Pleading with her there was no way I was going to let her fly half way around the world to put doubt in her mind, to play with her insecurities or torment her. Throwing her hands up as if she was surrendering she shook her head.
"Fine, six months. That's it." Suddenly my day had gotten a whole lot better.
"Alright, let's go eat." A huge smile producing on my face.
After supper we all perched ourselves on different seat spread out through the kitchen and livingroom. The butt end of my pen tapped onto the cover of my textbook that I have yet to crack open as I chewed on my bottom lip.
"Babe, I love you and everything but if you keep that up I'm going to poke your eyes out" Mollie scrutinized. Stopping my action I opened the heavy book and tried to focus but my mind decided that it would be much more fun to wander off once again. I've already run into Kevin and Harry who else am I going to have the pleasure of reuniting with, maybe it would be Rachael my friend turned tormenter. There was no doubt in my mind that Rachael had help set up the scheme that Harry had went along with.
Flashback
I was very aware of the breeze from wearing a dress, seeing as I had no friends that were girls - or in general and that my everyday attiar consists of jeans and a sweater I was completely lost when it came to shopping for this damn highschool dance. I felt a blush creep its way onto my face when Harry opened the passenger door for me.
"Thank you." My voice was as small as a mouse. "Get ready for an eventful night beautiful" If only I wasn't no niave and love struck I might have read between the lines. Flashback over
