Baileys POV:

Classes had started today and with running Kevin so close to my own home had thrown me off balance just a tad. The girls wanted me to go out with them last weekend but I didn't want to risk running into my other peers. My only other worry was the girls getting back to our place safely. Thank the lord they all did, I don't know what I would do if I brought these three girls to a different country only for them to get hurt the first week that we were here.

I had just gotten out of my final course waving my friend Lily as I felt my tummy let out a murderous grumble. Taking note that my world literature professor likes to gesticulate I made my way towards a coffee shop near both my flat and the campus. Stepping in a wave of coffee and baked goods filled my nose creating a feeling of comfort and home. Ordering a coffee and a light snack I waited patiently. Whilst listening to music I planned out what I would be making us all for supper when the girls got out of class while checking my watch. So much has changed since I left and came back to the UK  it even blows my own mind when I take the time to think about it. Smiling pleasantly towards the lady who had taken my order only to find out she was looking - rather drooling at the lad beside me. Her chubby cheeked face flushed once she realized that I saw her. Nodding my head in thanks I took my paid goods turning around trying to find a place to plop my lazy butt onto, finding no empty table I decided to ask someone to share.

"I'm sorry to bother you but all the other seats are occupied. Would you mind if I sit here?" I asked mostly paying attention to my phone. Soon I heard him barely over my music.

"Be my guest." His voice deep, his lips curling up at the sides when he realized that there was in fact no where else for me to sit. Even though I had been sitting for the majority of the day getting off of my newly aching feet was a pleasure.

Taking my first bite from the lemon cake that I purchased was ruined when I received an email from none other than Harry. All but choking on my food I stared down at the email address I had memorized only a year or two ago. He was the last person I wanted to talk to so soon after my arrival back over the pond. Trying my best to hurry along the conversation just to be able to get it over with. I soon found myself being pulled back by Harry, trying to resist orbiting him, somewhere along the conversation I gave him my number. Holding my breath I sat waiting for what I knew was about to come. Knitting my hands together before placing them on my lap, sitting back and staring at my phone as if it's an alien. Soon every back ground noise was drowned out as the only thing I could hear was the sound of my cell vibrating on the table in front of me.

"Hello?" Not sure how my voice sounded, I was stuck between shaky or calm and collected I tried my best. Holding my breath waiting for a response I never got one. I pulled my phone away from me as I looked at it confused.

"Hello?" I tried again with yet again no answer ending the call I sipped from my coffee thinking I was off the hook.

"Bailey?" Looking up at the sound of my name I had no idea where it came from so my eyes trailed from person to person looking for someone who was looking back at me. After looking at everyone I turned to the young man in front of me.

"Sorry did you call me name?" I asked with disbelief. Trying to see any similarities between young Harry and the boy opposite of me though after a few short seconds I knew that he was Harry.

"Erm, yeah." He said dumbfound.

"I thought you said you were busy." I watched as he looked down at his cup shyly.

"Well obviously when I said that I didn't expect you to be sitting in front of me." My voice strong as I kept eye contact.

"You look nice, I see you grew into your ears." His voice hinting at playfulness.

"I grew into a lot." Back in Holmes Chapel I would have self consciously touched my ears or hid them with my hair but instead I took a pen out of my bag throwing my hair into a messy bun using my pen to secure it putting my ears on display.

"I can see that." His cheeks turning a rosy pink licking his usual fair skin. Neither of us spoke for sometime. Looking over the rim of our cups at each other soaking in this moment.

"Why did you come back, if you don't mind me asking. I mean I heard you had a good life in Canada." His question shocking me. No one asked me why I came back not even Kevin.

"School, I've always had a thing for words and my friends got a scholarship to the University of Arts here and I've always heard how great the literacy courses were." Nodding my head after I finished.

"I remember you always use to rave about whatever book you finished or how whenever the teacher gave us our new reading assignment you had already read it." Harry went off.

"That was a long time ago." I said feeling my heart rip at the mention of the person I used to be. She was weak, she didn't know how to be around people. The old Bailey had no idea how to protect herself from the harsh people walking the earth. She deserved to be forgotten but this Bailey, the one that I've become always makes sure she gets remembered when it counts and now people don't get to walk all over me ever.
