Baileys POV:
My anxiety had peaked to a whole new level about three days ago, thank the Lord my classes are easy or else I would've fallen behind. Today was Friday meaning tomorrow I'll have to willingly face Harry. Walking to the coffee shop by my school I sucked in a breath, I had avoided this place like the black plague ever since I ran into Harold but I needed the coffee, my nerves heightened when the brick building came into view. The chime above the door alerted everyone inside to my entrance and it took all of my will power not to look around for the familiar curls. I looked at my watch I still had a half an hour until my girls got out of class so I sat beside the window tapping my fingers along with to my music, A Twist in My Story by Secondhand Serenade started to play and I smiled down at my cup as I calmed down. Secondhand Serenade was just always one of those bands that put me in a better mood no matter what the circumstances were.
The shop was busy, I understood why the brews and pastries are delicious with my headphones still in I was still able to hear the mindless chatter around. I miss my dad, I miss Canada. My simple life across the pond had ended and I longed to have it it back and although this coffee was good I would much rather have a to-go cup from Tim Hortans in my hands basking in it's warmth as I walked through the chilly streets. A hand was placed on my shoulder pulling me away from my thoughts from the country that I loved so quickly.
"Sorry don't mean to disturb you. There are no seats left, do you mind?" The boy questioned gesturing to the seat in front of me. I laughed nodding, this is how Harry and I reconnected. His accent wasn't English, his sandy brown hair was longer on top and styled to look messy, and his eyes are a pale blue. His jawline is strong with his deep voice. I don't mind at all having his sit in front of me.
"I'm Dan." His lips pulled back to show two rows of white teeth. Taking his hand in my own.
"Bailey. American?" I asked pulling my headphones out. Another glorious smile played across his face.
"How'd you guess?" He played.
"Your accent." I continue as I let out a small laugh.
"Are you enjoying London?" I question hoping that a companion can distract me from my thoughts.
"The weather here is horrible." He quips bringing his mug to his lips before continuing.
"I haven't really seen that much of the city but other than that yeah I have." He smiled again and I couldn't help but smile back. Our small talk turns into an easy conversation and he tells about Utah as I tell about Holmes Chaples but we're interrupted by Sammy calling me.
"Sorry." I say pausing him half way through his sentence.
"Hey girl." I say into the microphone,
"Where are you?" Concern evident in her voice and I knit my eyebrows together .
"I'm at a coffee shop, why?"Sneaking a look at my watch, I mentally slap myself.
"Shit, I'll be right there." Urgently standing up from my seat.
"Sorry, I've got to go. It was really nice to meet you." Gathering all of my items into one arm.
"You too, have a good evening." Smiling one last time at him I made my way to the door. Distracting by my phone I didn't see the other person until I heard a cry in pain.
"Oh my gosh, are you alright? I am so sorry." The words fly out of my mouth and I barely understand what I said.
"It's alright love, don't worry." The young man says rubbing his forehead smiling.
