Baileys POV:
Thankfully it had been hours since anyone brought up the events that unfolded today. After the girls had eaten and questioned me about my lack of appetite Sammy insisted that she do the cleaning in the kitchen so I had time to read over my notes from today's lectures. Laying on the living room floor with my school work surrounding me I couldn't help but bask in the glory of the plush carpet. I started running my hands over the material again and again. Soon enough an uncomfortable tingly sensation coursed over my palms causing me to wince, I hadn't noticed Mel watching me until she let out a chuckle. Smiling up at her I turned my head to the TV, of course the girl was watching the oldest version of Romeo & Juliet with the Zac Efron look-a-like she watched it at least once a week. I don't know how she hasn't grown tired of it.
Romeo & Juliet always brought back memories for me, when I was in grade nine we studied this play like it was the bible. We read the novel and the comic book, watched all three versions of the movie and we had to translate our favorite act into modern day language. I loved that class, it was the only time I felt like I was useful. I didn't care that people were putting post- its on me with crude comments or that they were throwing slivers of paper into my frizzy hair. I was simply engrossed in their tragic love story. I used to relish in the fact that they both loved one another enough to make the decision to not live without the other. I would wonder if anyone would love me that much when I blossomed but I always highly doubted it. My peers use to tell me to grow up and that a love like that strong doesn't exist. Looking down at my papers I realized that they were all right. people split up, cheat and get divorced everyday and that's if you're lucky enough to have the person you wanted in the first place.
When we were all gathered into the same room I decided it was now or never. The three girls that befriended and kept me sane when I was in Canada listened intently. Leaving out the part that Harry was now in the coveted One Direction that we are going to meet on Saturday. I reminisced on the days when Harry was in White Eskimos playing anywhere they could. I became repulsed by myself when I remembered that I would do everything in my power to be at every gig possible. I made myself to available, there was no chance therefore there was no fun on his part so him and his gang made their own game and I was the butt of the joke.
Flashback
Walking as swiftly as I could to my next class with my eyes trained on the ground and my untamed hair floating up every time there was a gust of wind I prayed that nobody cruel would notice me.
"Hey Bailey!" I heard a booming voice call out, my eyes widened and my pace quickened instantly but it was no use the person who called out to me was already falling into step beside me.
"Hi Harry." I wince at how small my own voice sounds to me. Oh how I wish I could be as confident as all of the other girls that he normally talks to.
"Where are you off to in such a hurry, got a hot date?" He inquired. Heat immediately pooled across my face.
"I'm going to maths." Trying to adjust the shoulder strap of my nap sack my books tumbled out of my hands onto the ground. If I thought that my face was red before I was sadly mistaken.
"I've got it." He spoke gently as he bent down to clean up my clumsy mess.
"Thank you." I spoke much more quiet than I had the first time when he was back up I held out my hands thinking that he was going to pass me back my items he just shook his head.
"Let me walk you to class." He stated before walking beside me again. I was surprised that he was being so kind to me, Harry wasn't openly rude to me in fact he was oddly nice but I heard that he had spread some rumors about me that I hoped was a lie.
Flashback Over
Playing with my fingers I waited for any one of my friends to say something but nobody did.
"Can somebody please say some thing?" I questioned, I didn't need my friends to feel like they had to walk on egg shells around me to spare my feelings. I'm a big girl I'm sure I can handle myself.
"How'd he know you're in London? " Mollie asked looking puzzled.
"Maybe Kevin told him." Sammy replied shrugging her shoulders lazily.
"Do you think they still talking?" Mel cut in,
"Who knows." I answer. Do they still talk? Surely they don't with Harry on his way to becoming a pop star he wouldn't want to tarnish his squeaky clean image. So they can't be up to their old antics and I can't see Kevin hanging out with Harry without being able to manipulate him.
"And he said that he wanted to catch up with you?" Sammy said putting air quotes around 'catching up'. Laughing as I bumped my shoulder against hers.
"Yes, get your mind out of the gutter." Another period of silence surrounds us until a hand comes into contact with the back of my head causing me to look to my right holding the back of my head to see Mel glaring at me.
"What'd you do that for?" I shriek.
"For giving him your number you idiot. He's probably tracking you down with GPS or some thing." I roll my eyes at her insane theory as Mollie and Sammy chuckle. If only she knew that by me giving him my number she's able to meet her new idols.
(Authors Note it would be really nice to know what you all think :D Do you think that the rest of the 1D boys know what Harry did?
YOU KNOW HOW I TOLD YOU THAT ROMEO LOOKS LIKE ZAC EFRON?!? I found this post on tumblr that proves I'm not the only one. I tried to put the screenshot on the side but I'm an idiot so here's the link :)https://blu177.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=acbb321c-4901-11e3-98ca-00215ad9dfc6&Aux=54|0|8D0AB259501C220||0|0|0|0||&cid=4cabef4799e1e8b6&maxwidth=220&maxheight=160&size=Att&blob=MHxTY3JlZW5zaG90XzIwMTMtMTEtMDgtMjItNDMtMTEucG5nfGltYWdlL3BuZw_3d_3d)
