Baileys POV:
Getting into the fourth floor flat was going to be more of a chore then I thought it was going to be. Looking down at the floor of the lift all around Sammy and I were bags and bags. I had no idea we were going to buy so much. Going through my bag in search of my cell trying my best to hurry. Letting out a sigh of relief when I felt the familiar plastic on my finger tips. Dialing Mollies number and waiting for her to pick up which she did after on ring.
"Hello?" Her cheerful voice making it's way to my ear.
"I need your help. I'm in the elevator." Not waiting for an answer I pressed the end call button smiling at myself as I thought about how I always wanted to do that. When the elevator doors opened we came face to face with my dear friend.
"Did you buy enough?" She said smugly as she looked around.
"Not with all of our appetites. I'm thinking about going back tomorrow to get more." I retorted as we started to gather up some bags. Sammy following suit we were soon waddling our way to our new home.
"Honey we're home!" Soon hearing the soft steps on the carpeted floor.
"What'd you get us?" A very excited Mel asked as she sat at the kitchen aisle with her face sat on her palms.
"A massive amount. I'll make you all lunch if you help me unpack it all." I said looking them all in the eyes. I watched in angst as they all eyed each other before rushing to empty the plastic bags.
"Obviously Sammy was the one who got all of this. Why do we need a blender right now?" Mollie asked in disbelief. For the remainder of the rushing around we continued to poke fun at our dear friend.
"Our Bailey ran into an old friend today lovies." Sammy stated out of the blue placing her arm around me before quickly placing the strawberries into the fridge. You could basically see the other girls ears perk up and I had been hoping that I would have a bit more time before I would be bombarded by questions.
"Can we talk about that later?" My hands were placed onto the cement counter top as I started to bite at my lower lip. Soon everything was in it's place I waved all of the girls into the living room. There were always the times I felt like their mother but it was oddly comforting. Sighing happily as I turned on the small tv that sat upon our counter and changing it to the music channel. Song after song passed as I bounced along merrily until I heard a tune that I didn't recognize but enjoyed. Turning it up, waiting to see the title to pop up What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. Neither name clicked in my brain but I continued to watch the video. My heart sinking as Harry Styles come onto my telly.
Not knowing how I should handle this I turned off the tv and turned my back getting back to work. No more bouncing, no more smiling just staring down blankly at the red peppers I was cutting.
"What are you thinking about?" Sammy spoke softly but concerned from behind causing me to jump and to get a shallow cut on my finger.
"Sammy, you know I hate that." I said bringing my finger up to my mouth.
"My bad." She spoke sheepishly.
"It's fine, what'd you say?" Running my finger under some cold water.
"There's something wrong, what is it." She stated as if I was the easiest person to read.
"I ran into Kevin at the store today." I said trying to shrug it off with an awkward smile. I heard her gasp and I looked over at her shyly.
"Please tell me that wasn't him at the register." Her hand was placed over her mouth and I could tell she was trying to find the right words. Not trusting my voice all I could do was nod.
"I'm so sorry, if I had known I would've done something. You know what I would've done, I would've told his manager he was sexually harassing me or something.
"I know she was only joking and the tears I didn't know that escaped slipped into my mouth and I tasted the salt.
"That's a little extreme don't you think?" Her arm slinked around my shoulder and her cheek was on my shoulder as I wiped my eyes.
"We can always shop somewhere else, you wont even have to deal with him." Giving her the benefit of the doubt I nodded before looking at her and at the food I prepared.
"Foods ready!" We shouted out in unison before giggling.
(Authors Note I don't really have high expectations for this story aha is that bad to admit?)
