Chapter 5:

Monique's POV:
"Damn it" I said rubbing my head after hitting it on the roof of my car as I got out. After grabbing the bags that were filled with boxes of donuts I locked my car and made my way to the theater.
I was excited as I made my way to the stage not just because I got to see Aaron but because I bought Shawn and the rest of the band Krispy Kreme donuts. Finally making it to my destination I was greeted with everyone staring at me making me extremely nervous.
'Damn this feels worse then yesterday when Aaron introduced me to everyone before he rudely rushed us off' I thought to myself. Building up the courage to say something I decided to speak up.
"I- Uh... I hope you guys don't mind me being here but I bought Krispy Kreme donuts for you guys because I felt bad for being rushed off when meeting you all yesterday" I say placing the donuts on the stage. I looked over at Aaron and I couldn't help but notice that he looked slightly pissed off.
Thinking I've done something wrong or that they don't like me I looked down at my shoes and started playing with my hands like I always do when I'm nervous or uncomfortable. There was an awkward silence that lasted to long for my liking before I heard someone speak.
"Thank you that was very kind of you. And don't worry about you being rushed off yesterday it wasn't your fault". I smiled and looked up when I realized that it was Shawn who had spoken up
Shawn's POV:
"I- Uh... I hope you guys don't mind me being here but I bought Krispy Kreme donuts for you guys because I felt bad for being rushed off when meeting you all yesterday" she said nervously. 'Can she get any cuter' I thought to myself. I felt bad she really thought that her being rushed off yesterday was her fault her not only that but she didn't get the best welcoming either. I continued looking at her as she walked forward to place the boxes of donuts on the stage. I continued looking as she stared down towards her shoes and started playing with her fingers.
After a few seconds I looked around and saw Aaron looking pissed off and everyone else looking pissed off at Aaron. Realizing this situation was no better than yesterday's incident I spoke up.
"Thank you that was very kind of you. And don't worry about you being rushed off yesterday it wasn't your fault". I said smiling down to her. My stomach fluttered as she looked up and smiled back at me
I heard several 'thank you's" going around and it went quite again for a second before Chris yelled
"Well idk why y'all are still standing there when this beautiful girl went out of her way to buy us donuts. So please move your Ass*s and get a donut before I eat them all by myself! And y'all know I will!!!". He said while grabbing a box taking a donut and taking a very big bite out of it. We all laughed at him and soon others crowded around to get a donut as well.
I turned my attention back to Monique who was being kissed by Aaron. I felt my cheeks burning as my anger started to build up it wasn't until Briana came and put her had on my shoulder that I had released the breath that I didn't even know I was holding in. I then heard her start speaking to me
"Why'd you agree Shawn?" Was all she said before she went back to her spot on stage. I tried averting my attention elsewhere so I told everyone that it was time to begin practice.
After two hours of hard work I told everyone to take a 30 minute break before we start again. After talking to a few people I went to the restroom to splash some water on my face to cool down a bit I was still a little heated from earlier as well as being all sweaty and sticky from rehearsals. When I walked out I saw Monique sitting alone with her head down So I decided to walk over to her but stopped a few feet behind her
"Uh Hi" I said 'really Hi is all you had to say what about hey how are you' I mentally scolded myself. Not getting a response I stepped closer and put my hand on her shoulder
"Are you okay" I asked 'see was it that hard' I asked myself.
Finally getting a response she turned around while still looking down and said "yea, uh I j-just wanted to let you know t-that Aaron left he said he was going back to the hotel you guys are s-staying at". She said shakily.
"Hey what's wrong? Speak to me". I said putting my hand under her chin and lifting her head up so that I could now see her face But the sight of her broke me, her eyes were red and puffy as it appeared that she had been crying and she was avoiding looking me in the eyes
"It's nothing, I'm probably just over reacting like he said" she said looking to the side and shaking her head. Before I had time to think about what to say my mouth started moving and words started coming out and I couldn't stop any of it from happening
"Please... You don't have to talk to me now it can be after rehearsals. We could go get something to eat or go for ice cream or for a walk on the pier a movie something? Anything to make you stop crying and smile just let me know and we'll do it!" And with that she looked at me and smiled.
