*Mia's pov*
Colleen is so sad and her feelings are hurt. I feel so bad. Her parents are the sweetest men on planet earth. I've never seen them raise their voices ever. And Josh. he looks so sad all the time. Like someone shot his mother. Then I have an idea. "Hey. Call him." I say. Colleen looks up at me with tears in her eyes. "I can't.they took my phone away." she says softly. "use my phone" I say handing her my cell phone. She looks up at me with joy in her eyes. She quickly takes the phone and dials his number.

*Colleen's pov*
I hear three rings before someone answers the phone on the other line. "Hey Mia how is she?" I hear a familiar voice say. "Joshua." I whisper. but I whisper loud enough so he can hear me. "Colleen oh my god." I hear him say. "I'm sorry. if I knew they'd do that-" "Colleen stop. You didn't know. I didn't know and Becky didn't either." he says. "Becky told you" I say. "yes. But that's not important right now. Are you okay? How are you?" "sad. I want you with me." I honestly say. "I know baby." "I'm not leaving you again.i almost lost you once and I'm not doing that again. I just have to wait till they warm up to the idea of. eating a boy." I say and start to cry again. "ill see you in no time. Don't you worry." as he says that I hear footsteps walking up the stairs. "babe someone is coming. I love you. I will see you sometime soon okay?" "I-" is the last thing I hear before I hang up. it killed me. I will never know what he said. Of course I assume he said 'I love you too' but, I will never know. I hand Mia's telephone back to her as the door opens. I see Tim checking up on us. "how are you girls doing?" he asks. I put my head down and keep it down. I say nothing. "we're okay" Mia says breaking the awkward silence. "Colleen I know you're upset with us." he says. "upset?" I raise my voice. "no. I'm not upset. I am disappointed to call you my father." I say. He looks heart broken but I don't care right now. "Colleen what can we do" "you can let me see my boyfriend." I insist. "but you shouldn't even have a boyfriend." he tries to be calm. "well at least let me go to school, or out of the house for gods sake." I say standing up now. "I will talk with your father about it tonight. but no promises." I roll my eyes and sit back down. He closes my bedroom door. Mia wraps her arm around me comforting me. "I'll stay over tonight" she says. I nod. "and you can call or FaceTime Josh whenever okay?" she adds. I look at her and a smile appears on my face. "thank you" I say to her really meaning it.
