I Would Do Anything For The Person I Love

*Colleen's pov*
Joshua is driving us to my place. Both my parents are waiting for Joshua and I. They told me that if I wasn't gonna stop seeing Joshua that they wanted to give him a chance. I am happy but scared at the same time. I want them to bond but if they don't... My dads just ordered chipotle because it's one of Joshua and i's favourites. We get home and I open the door holding onto Joshua's hand, nervous for what's about to happen. Good or bad? happy or mad? all possible things that are driving me crazy.
We walk into my house to Greg and Tim greeting us. Joshua shakes their hands and I walk him to my kitchen table. The food is already there and we grab our own food. It's silent for a few minutes before Joshua breaks it. "Thank you for giving Colleen and I a chance." my dads look up at him. I grab his knee under the table and he puts his hand over mine. "I feel like we've given Colleen a hard time about this. We would like to talk and try to understand." Greg says. I swallow hard. Josh squeezes my hand knowing that I'm nervous.
Throughout the night they talk and kind of get along. There was a little tension at some points but everything is okay now.
I am currently wrapped in Joshua's arms in the front yard. His arms arm around mine, I am facing him and my hands are on his chest. "thank you for coming tonight and risking everything" I thank him. He kisses my forehead. "I would do anything for the person I love" he sweetly says to me. I lean up and kiss his lips for a long period of time. "mm. I missed you" I whisper after I pull away. He grabs my face in his palms and kisses me again to show me he missed me too. We break the kiss and I hide my face in his neck. "I have to go home now" he says. I nod quietly in his neck. "I don't want you to leave" I mumble. He hears me, "hey I'll see you tomorrow." he says cheering me up. I smile from ear to ear and I kiss him once more. "I love you" I whisper so quietly. "I love you too" he whispers back even more silent. He walks away to his car. I watch him drive away and head back inside. I go up to my room and cannot stop smiling. I grab my journal.

Dear Joshua,
I am the happiest. You ate chipotle with my family tonight and they excepted you. We also shared a very sweet and memorable moment in my front yard tonight. Now I know for sure we are going to have a future together. And I can't wait. I want to tell everyone in the world. We are a couple and we are so close to every one knowing.
