Chapter 8 : New Hope

all of them waiting worriedly after nurses sent unconscious seungri into surgery room. one of the nurse told all them seungri will get bypass surgery for his heart because seungri's heart got swelling and it become worst since seungri's condition is more weak than others. the surgery will be done after 6 or 7 hours. they really hope seungri's surgery will be success and could stay alive until he could get a new heart for heart transplantation. Jiyong secretly leave the hospital waiting room and went into the church for praying.

"God,i'm never ask anything from you before,but please save my friend this time. he is a nice person,his family need him and i need him too. he is my first friend without saw me as famous star. please give him a chance,please give me a chance to believe again. Ri is a good person,please don't take him away. i promised i won't try to suicide anymore if You keep him alive." Jiyong whispering his prayer and kneel down in the first row.

after waiting for 7 hours,doctor went out from surgery room and also few nurses that moving out seungri to intensive room. all of them rushes in panic just to saw seungri that still laid unconscious on bed. "the surgery is done well but now patient still under medicated. we hope he will wake up tomorrow morning and get recovery soon." Doctor explain about seungri's condition after all of them ask in worry and panic. they feel really glad after hear the explaination.

they really worry to stay to close to seungri that still laid unconscious after surgery. there are a lot of medical cable and equipment around seungri's body that make him look really fragile. Jiyong try to brave him self standing beside seungri's bed after Seunghyun try to stop him. he saw three tubes connect into seungri chest that tape with the safe bandages to drain fluid from the heart surgery. he also saw IV drip that hooked into seungri's wrist and other tubes for blood transfusion. catheter and few cables that attached from seungri's body to machine beside the bed to monitoring seungri's pulse, temperature and also breathing. jiyong feel sad saw surgical cut incision in the middle of seungri's chest about 10inch that already close perfectly but left it without bandages.

"why did there are incision too on seungri's left arm?" jiyong ask sadly after nurse allowed all of them to visit seungri in intensive room. Jiyong paid for large exclusive patient intensive room for seungri even Choi's family try to stop him. "Ri,just have heart bypass surgery. they use vein from his left arm to fixed his broken vein for heart. they have to use that to save his life this time." seunghyun answer after saw the surgical incision on seungri's left arm. It was a long cut on seungri's arm that also left dry without bandaged. even the surgical cuts look like straight line but sure it will left scars. that was the only way to save seungri's life and stay alive until he got new heart.

that night once again they couldn't sleep well because nurses didn't allow them to stay around seungri after they make sure seungri still breathing with the fresh oxygen from oxygen mask. "we really sorry,but patient need steril room to avoid infection. don't worry patient won't wake up until tomorrow morning because doctor already give him anesthetic to make him sleep. we will take care patient under intensive care." nurse explain to them after tell them to leave seungri alone inside the room. all night long they saw nurses and doctor come to check on seungri's condition each one hour. all of them feel really nervous each time saw that but doctor just smile and explain to them seungri's condition was just fine. They just have to make sure seungri didn't get any infection or problems after surgery.

in the morning nurses allowed all of them to went inside seungri's room and told them seungri will wake up in few hours after the surgical anesthetic gone. Jiyong quickly wipes his tears and smiling at youngbae that pat on his shoulder calming him down. "thank you God,you really bring him back to us." jiyong whispering before went into seungri's room. they carefully sitting on the chair and couch inside that room. They saw seungri breathing softly with the constant beeping sound the only one sound except their prayer chant as thank you to God to let seungri still stay with them. Jiyong carefuly place a chair beside seungri's bed and allowed Mrs Choi to sit there. "welcome back Ri,thank you dear,you still let eomma become your eomma." Mrs Choi smile while let her tears fell down. Jiyong ask Youngbae to buy some foods because all of them didn't eat anything since yesterday lunch.

Jiyong stay awake with seunghyun while let Mr and Mrs Choi take nap on the couch. Youngbae go back to take jiyong's check book after jiyong said he will paid for all seungri's treatment in the hospital include the surgery. Jiyong sit while holding on seungri's hand and watching seungri breathe uneasy with the oxygen tubes on his nose after the nurse change the oxygen mask with thr oxygen tubes. jiyong open wide his eyes when he feel seungri's fingers move a bit in his hand grip. Jiyong pat on seunghyun hand after saw seungri eyes also move abit. "hyung,Ri is wake up now." Jiyong said happily and make seunghyun smile widely. both of them saw seungri try to struggling weakly to open his eyes. they smile and feel touching after saw seungri manage to open his eyes and looking at them weakly while let his own tears falling down. they carefully pat on seungri's hand. "welcome back Ri,you did it." Jiyong whisper and wipes seungri's tears with his finger.
