At the hospital...
"What happened?" Asked Lena waking up.
"You passed out in school about 45 minutes ago." Said Atlas running to her side.
"Ugh again!" Yelled Lena.
"What do you mean again?" Asked Atlas slowly pulling away.
"This is the third or fourth time this has happened and I always have small amnesias and also longer time spans." Lena said as Atlas got his phone out.
"Hey what are you doing?" Asked Lena.
"Oh, I'm gonna call your mom and tell her your awake." Said Atlas with a fake smile on his face as he walked out the door.
Atlas's call...
"Why in the wide wide world would you do that?"
...
"But you told her that it was okay to tell her when she found out!"
...
"Are you sure this was an accident?"
...
"Fine, if your lying I will tear you apart like the next ice age!" He hung up the phone and walked back in, but stopeded to tell her mom about the accident.
Back to the real world...
"She said she will be here as soon as possible." Said Atlas walking into the room spotting the nurse.
"Great!" Said Lena slightly sarcastically.
"Is everything alright?" Asked Atlas, his hand shaking.
"Well, Ms.Anderson here has a little amount of poison in her skull so we need to extract it." Said the doctor writing something down.
Lena, you can't let them take that out, it's what gives us our powers and it's not dangerous. Atlas told her with his mind.
"No!" Lena shouted.
"No what?" Asked the doctor.
"No you can't extract it from my brain." Said Lena.
"Give me one good reason that I can't take it out." The doctor crossed her and.
"This is normal, my doctor had it tested, it runs in the family and he said it would go away on its own." Lena said slightly sweating.
"Where and who was this doctor?" Said the doctor more intimidating.
"My uncle Phil, he is retired now but he was a wonderful doctor at the hospital in Australia." Said Lena with more confidence.
"You really think I'm going to believe that?" Asked the doctor.
"How dare you?!" Screamed Lena. "My uncle was the greatest doctor ever until he retired and after the car accident, we never did hear from him again." Lena said starting to fake cry.
"I'm so sorry, I guess if he said it was okay then I guess you can keep it." She said about to leave to fill out some forms.
"Okay now tell me more about this poison." Lena said immediately stopping crying.
"Woah feisty, I like that." Atlas winked.
Lena rolled her eyes.
"Okay so when you were a newborn your brain was developing, but since you have powers you had an extra tube that grew over time and eventually became to the functioning size, which is why you now have powers." Explained Atlas.
"How do you know all this?" Asked Lena.
"Ever heard of something called the internet?" Said Atlas giving her a kiss on her forehead.
Lena chuckled. "I love you so much."
At home...
"Hey mom?" Started Lena. "Do you know why I keep getting headaches and passing out?" Asked Lena sitting at the table with Atlas.
"No sweetie I-" She looked over and saw Atlas tapping on his watch. "Actually, I do." She said with a sigh and she saw Lenas eyes widen.
"Atlas, why don't you call your mom and tell her your staying for dinner?" She said with an evil smile on her face.
"Ok, I'll be right back." Atlas ran upstairs.
Atlas' phone call...
"Hey so is it okay if we maybe tell her that you have been making her passout since step one is over?" Asked Atlas in a happy and please don't kill me tone.
...
"You da man!" Atlas hung up and went downstairs after he called his mom.
"She said that was fine." He winked at his mother.
"Atlas, why don't you go keep Toby company while I talk to Lena?" Once again an evil smile.
Atlas ran upstairs.
"Listen Lena sweetheart, I know who has been doing this to you." She started. "It's, the Watchover."
