I'm sitting alone in the exam hall because I can't get a grip on my chalk. I'm happy that I'm almost done. I'm just having trouble on the last question.

'How do you keep track of multiple enemies in close combat without swinging your head everywhere?'

Got it! You use your peripheral vision and listen carefully.

"Thank you Emeron." I say to no one in particular.

There I'm done! Now to get out of here and find my siblings.

I walk out of the exam hall and smell food cooking, I get a better whiff and I can tell their Emeron's famous chicken egg omelets. My stomach gives its rumble of approval and I launch myself into the cafeteria.

As I walk into the cafeteria I hear Luna say, 'that would bite.'

"What would bite?" I ask.

"Emeron says if we don't pass the exam we have to stay here for another 12 weeks to relearn what we missed on the exam."

"Yeah. I would really hate that."

We lie down in front of our table and start devouring our omelets. When the exam master walks into the cafeteria and tells us that we all got perfect scores even me. We celebrate quite loudly then he reminds us of the magic control test and the close combat fight.

"Hey Emeron, your advice on how to keep track of multiple enemies really helped. Thanks."

"No Problem Ruben. Now would anyone like to review anything magical?"

"Yes, how do we tell if we are running out of magic?" Luna asks.

"Well there would be the usual symptoms of exhaustion such as dizziness, an air headed feeling, great hunger and thirst. The only difference would be that magical exhaustion will make you revert into the form of a small impenetrable stone, while normal exhaustion will just make you pass out. The dangerous part of magical exhaustion, when you revert to the stone form is that only those closest to you emotionally will be able to tell you from a normal rock. That's why golden dragons like us are hatched in two's and three's so that they can be a team, like dad and his brother, Theo." Emeron quotes perfectly from the class we had three weeks ago on the subject.

"Once again, brother your mind and it's photographic memory amazes me." was my reply to that incredibly long winded and accurate answer.

"Nice to know that I'm amazing. We need to finish up because it's almost time for the magic test. We need to complete that quickly."

With that he put his empty dirty dishes into the sink for the cleaning brownie.
