Emeron walks with a clear and confident purpose towards his favorite and most trusted magic emporium. Knowing he wont have to barter or worry about the effectiveness or authenticity of the wares he's purchasing lifts a fair sized weight of worry off his conscious. Leaving him the ability to focus on the current matter on hand of having to teleport himself, his siblings, and all their purchases home through a lightning storm.
He opens the door and hears the bell ring, alerting the shop keeper of the potential customer.
"Hello and welcome to my shop", the keeper announces as he approaches the front of the shop, "Ahh, Emeron you have returned. How was training? What can I do for you today?"
"Hello, Lotus. My training was quiet and relatively uneventful, it being the offseason and all. I'm mainly here for the basic's and I also need some more...exotic...components for my more recent work."
"I see. Well, here's a medium basics kit. Now what's so 'exotic" that you wont tell me it out loud by name?" Lotus inquired.
"I need Elven Elemental runes, the older the better."
"Wow. You weren't kidding when you said 'exotic'. what do you need 'em for?"
"I have been having flashes of the ancient elven language in my head for a while and I'm now just starting to use it. My siblings and I just barely outflew a lightning storm flying to the market and I hope to use the runes to teleport us home so we don't have to fly home in the storm."
"That's impressive lad. Though that isn't the kind of information I would bring up without it being absolutely necessary." Lotus warned. "Lucky for you I just have gotten some in stock."
Lotus walks into the back of the shop and returns moments later with a massive chest bearing the eleven crest, if slightly rusted, on the front. He lifts the lid to show Emeron 6 ancient elven runes.
The earth rune made of solid diamond, Air made out of clouds held together by powerful magic. Fire made out of lava, yet somehow still cool to the touch. Water made out of eternally frozen ice. The Nature rune was scrawled onto a perfectly preserved sunflower head. Finally the lightning rune, 30 or so moving bolts were trapped in a perfectly clear and spherical resin waiting for all eternity to be released onto the world. None of them ever losing their magical strength or ability to cast spells.
"These are perfect, Lotus. Where did you get them?"
"An Elven museum was doing a little spring cleaning and they were just going to throw them out not realizing what the were throwing out. Suckers."
"How much?" Emeron asks, getting ready to wince.
"Considering you are my favorite customer and I got them for free," he pauses while rubbing his muzzle in thought, "I will sell them and the chest for you for 10 auroras a piece."
Emeron twitches slightly but willing agrees and hands over the auroras.
"Pleasure doing business with you Lotus."
"Likewise, Emeron. Are you going to need a bag?"
"No, I have my duffel for now. Thanks for the offer though."
"Then have a nice evening."
"To you as well, old friend. Good bye Lotus."
Emeron exits the shop and begins his trek to the center of the market after loading his magic duffel with his possessions. He arrives to the market center and see's Luna already waiting after listening to the town crier.
"Hey, Sis. Have you seen Ruben yet?"
"Nope. How long do you want to give him before we go after him?"
"Lets give him about an hour. I want to hear the news and it looks like the town crier just got an updated bulletin."
