"Let's divide the list up. It should take less time that way." Luna suggests.
"Good thinking, Luna." Emeron replies.
"Where will we meet when we are finished with our section of the list?" I ask.
"Lets meet in front of the fountain in the main square when we are done." Emeron answers.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Luna say's.
Emeron starts to read off the list. Most of its a pretty universal shopping list, food, cleaning supplies, etc. Then it starts getting more and more interesting. Things like pixie dust and tree mosses for spell ingredients.
Crushed mermaid/merman scales (acquired by voluntary donation only) and kelpie milk to make highly durable ink. Enchanted paper from the elves that burns and then rematerializes in the intended recipients fire place rising from the ashes very much like a phoenix.
Luna volunteers to take the food and cleaning supplies since this chore will also take her past her favorite boutiques. Emeron knows where to get the spell ingredients and has a few of his own to add to the list so he takes that part of the list. Leaving me with the fancy paper and ink ingredients.
We head our separate ways to get our materials. Luna heads west to the shoppes. Emeron heads east to the magician's district and I head south to the docks for the kelpie milk and to look for land walking mer-folk merchants and eleven traders.
As I search I find myself of being the center of attention of many circles. I catch many quick glances in my direction and many long stares that make me feel very ill at ease. Im about to confront one such staring passerby when a fellow dragon approaches me.
"Good evening young lad. You look a little lost. Can I point you in the direction you need to go to get what you need? Im Scarron by the way. Head of the night patrol in these parts."
"That would be most helpful, thank you. Im Ruben, son of Coren. I seek mer-folk and elven merchants."
"Certainly. In fact today is your lucky day. The elves and the mer-folk are docked right on the same pier at the moment. Just head down the direction your going . They are both moored at pier 12."
"Thanks. I will start heading that way now."
