We take off into the storm and it dies down whenever we fly toward a rough patch of clouds. We leave a note explaining our wishes to leave immediately, despite the storm. Despite the storms raging, howling, and growling, we made excellent time home.
"'Ello Chicky's." our Mom, Kaleen, yelled as we flew into our den in the mountain side.
"Hi mom." We all chorused as we landed.
We have a long group hug.
"Where's Dad?" I ask.
"He's still on patrol. He should be home any minute now unless something came up."
"Something coming up' could mean anything from a troll attack to fighting a forest fire. I shrug and then fly off to my room to see if my spell worked. Luna did the same. Everything was there and exactly where I would have put it. I walk down to Luna's room to see her stuff. Everything was just in a big pile on the floor.
"What is everything doing on the floor? You're room had everything in its perfect place." She asked me.
"I think it was because I was able to imagine where I wanted everything when I teleported it to my room. I didn't know where you wanted everything so I just kept everything in a pile in the center of your room for you to arrange yourself later."
We leave Luna's room and go back to the main chamber for supper. Just as we enter the main chamber of the den, we can hear dad's wing beats as he flies toward the den entrance.
"Hello Dear, I'm home. Oh good, the fledglings are home from the academy. How was your studies?" our dad, Coren asks.
"We passed everything with flying colors but our close combat exam got rained out. Which was fine. Ruben could use more practice anyway."
"Good to hear. To be honest I'm glad that you didn't take the close combat exam there. The academy is focused on long range magical protection and offense. Besides, I have some tricks up my sleeves that I want to show you. Now, let me change out of my work suit, then we can start on making supper."
"Sure thing, Dad." I say, finishing the conversation.
