Prologue

     A/N:    This is what she looks like before cancer.

         All I know that while sitting in front of the doctor, that my life would change drastically. My name is Addilyn Arden Rose and I'm 19 and I've graduated from high school. On October 15th, I found that I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It threw our family into a loophole, with ambulance bills and medicine prescriptions that as middle class people we had trouble paying. To help my parents, I picked up a job at Starbucks against their wishes, where I started to wear wigs because I didn't like all the attention people were giving me because of my cancer. My father, Eric worked an hour out of Los Angeles and my mother, Angelica, only worked ten minutes away as a kindergarten teacher. Yes, I live in Los Angeles, California. My life was pretty normal, I got good grades, a boyfriend, and a best friend who would never betray me, well that's what I thought. When I told Julia my best friend since I was 5 years old and my boyfriend Chase about my cancer, they left me. Julia left me because she thought that I would die and she couldn't handle that which I wasn't going to. Chase left me because he didn't want to take care of me and he was having a relationship with the so called "popular" girl back in high school, Gabriella Lavota.
