Today was the big dinner. It's currently 12:30 right now and I'm fucking nervous. I've been looking up makeup tutorials on YouTube to pass the time. I found this one I really liked though. It was a very nice smoky eye and pink gloss look. Recently, I've been listening to Melanie Martinez's Crybaby album on my record. I love her voice and how creative she is with her songs and music videos like Panic!.
It's currently 4:00 which means 3 more hours until the dinner. My mom and dad have been trying to help me keep calm, so a seizure doesn't happen. Speaking of seizures, I haven't had one in a while which makes me happy and it makes Brendon happy too. This dinner is probably big for me because I'm going to meet Breezy and Sarah. This could lead to new friendships. I wonder why Breezy wants to meet me. Maybe she heard about me from Dallon and Brendon talks about me to her or maybe Sarah talks about me. I have no clue.
All this thinking made me lose track of time. I realized it was only 5:00. Thank goodness. I decide that I should on my outfit and all. It actually looks great on me. Even my parents say so. My mom comes in handing me a necklace and a cuff bracelet which actually goes very well with my outfit. I went over to my calendar and realized that this was the last week of September. Lots of holidays are coming up like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Oh, I almost forgot. My birthday is on October 10th and my cancer anniversary is the 15th. That's going to be a depressing day for me.
After I finished my makeup and all, I checked the time and saw it was 6:25. Suddenly, I realized that I should start heading there. I was debating if I should wear my wig or not, but I know that Brendon doesn't like when I wear it, so I decided against it. I ran downstairs, said goodbye to my parents, and hopped in my car and drove to his house. Yep, I have my own car.
Finally, I reached Brendon's house or should I say mansion and saw another car. Must be Breezy's, I thought. I took a couple of deep breathes and knocked on the door. The door opened and it was Sarah.
"Oh hey! You must be Addilyn! I'm Sarah! Come in, come in." She said, gesturing me to come inside.
"Nice to meet you Sarah! You've got a beautiful home! Oh, I love your outfit by the way." Sarah was wearing a black daisy floral dress with short high boots. Also, she had on flower stud earrings with a matching necklace.
"You are such a sweetheart! I love your outfit too! Breezy is in the kitchen. She is dying to meet you." Sarah gave me a hug and pointed the way to the kitchen. I wonder where Brendon is. As soon as I reached the kitchen, I saw Breezy sipping some wine. Once she spotted me, Breezy ran over and gave me a tight hug.
I laughed and said, "Hi, I'm Addilyn."
We shook hands and she said, "Hi Addilyn. I'm Breezy. I've heard so much about you and let me just say that you're such a strong and beautiful girl! Love your outfit and makeup by the way!"
I blushed, "Oh, you're so sweet. Thank you so much. You're beautiful and I love your outfit too!" Breezy was wearing a plain black dress with black heels with bows at the top.
"Thank you sweetheart!" Breezy just hugged me tighter. Me and her could become good friends. In the doorway stood the one and only Brendon. He was wearing a black polo shirt with a cool design on it with black jeans and black Chuck Taylor's while smiling at me.
"God Breezy, you're going to squeeze her to death."
"Oh, I'm sorry, honey." She let go and Brendon pulled me in for a hug. I love his hugs.
"Woah, no leather pants today, huh?"
He laughed and replied,"Nope." Popping the p. "You look beautiful."
I blushed, "Oh, thanks."
Sarah came in and told us to come sit down at the table. Brendon and Sarah sat down together on one side and me and Breezy sat across from them. Sarah made steak, casserole, mashed potatoes, and salad. It was delicious! Dinner was lots of fun and I looked at Sarah's ring and remembered to congratulate her. "Before I forget, congratulations Sarah!"
"Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me Addilyn, congrats!" Breezy exclaimed, "Can I see it?"
"Aw, thanks guys and sure!" Me and Breezy just stared at her ring in awe. She and Brendon laughed and he kissed her on the cheek.
"Man, Brenny, you did a good job in the ring department!"
"Totally," agreed Breezy. Brendon just laughed and blushed. Awe.
"Brenny?" Sarah asked with a confused look on her face.
"Yeah, I told her, her nickname is Addy, so her nicknames for me are Bren and Brenny," explained Brendon, grinning at me.
"Awwww, cute!" Breezy uttered.
"Oh." Sarah said while continuing to eat her casserole. Breezy looked at me and shrugged her shoulders, so did Brendon. Okay then.
"So, I heard your birthday is coming up, right?" Questioned Breezy.
"Yep, October 10th!"
"And October 15th is your cancer anniversary." Brendon said.
"Yeah, I love life." I answered sarcastically. Everyone chuckled and Breezy gave me a concerned look.
"Aw, I'm so sorry" Breezy put her arm around me and squeezed my shoulder.
"Oh, it's fine. Don't be sorry." I continued to eat my salad and looked up to see Brendon giving me a sad look and I just gave him a smile. Brendon smiled back and Sarah looked at us and excused herself from the table to go to the restroom. I suddenly felt bad. "Oh no, did I do something?
"No, you did nothing wrong. Why do you ask?" Brendon asked me.
"I-I don't know."
"Did you bring your phone, Addy?" asked Breezy.
"Hey, only I get to call her that!" Brendon retorted. I laughed and gave her my phone, so she could type in her number. Yay, a new friend. I was so happy and Brendon I think knew why and he was smiling to himself.
Suddenly, Sarah came back out to the table and started to eat again. We all started talking again and before you know it, it was time to leave.
"Thanks for coming, Addilyn. It was nice to meet you." Sarah said as she hugged me.
"Thanks for inviting me and it was very nice to meet you too." I looked over at Breezy. "You too, Breezy." Then, I gave her a hug and waved goodbye. I walked back to my car and drove home. I was so fucking tired.
I drove into the driveway of my home and went inside. Everyone else was asleep, so I took a shower and put on pjs and went straight to bed.
