Chapter 5: Home Sweet Home

~Addilyn's POV~

       The next day, the doctor told my mom and I that I was discharged from the hospital today. I was so happy, yesterday I met my idol and today I get to go home, so I mean of course I should be happy! My mom and I walked out to our gold Subaru Outback and hopped in. All my mom would talk about during the ride was Brendon. She kept saying that Brendon and I would be totes cute couple. Yes, she said the word 'totes'. I was super excited to see my dad. He couldn't visit me in the hospital because he has terrible work hours, but we did text.

      Halfway home SiriusXMHits1 played "Victorious." My mom gave me a smirk and turned up the radio. "Tonight we are victorious; Champagne pouring over us; All my friends were glorious; Tonight we are victorious; Oh-oh-oh-oh, victorious; Oh-oh-oh-oh," we both sang until we reached home. My dad's Mercedes-Benz E-Class was parked in the garage. I hopped out the car and saw my dad standing at the front door. He opened his arms and I ran into them.

     "I miss you dad!"

     "I missed you too, sweetheart! I'm so glad you're out of the hospital. We are having pizza to celebrate!" He exclaimed. I squealed and threw my fists in the air. I love pizza so much, if you couldn't tell. I ran into the house and went up to my room. My mom has already put my luggage in here. Thanks mom! I looked around and saw all my Panic! posters. I lay down on my bed and thought about everything that happened yesterday. I still can't believe I met him! Suddenly, I remembered to upload my picture with Brendon to Instagram. "Yesterday I met my idol and inspiration, @BrendonUrie. I want to say thanks again for meeting me and the concert was amazing! I love you! ❤️," read the caption. I then checked his Instagram and saw the picture of me and him that he took on his phone. I squealed and read the caption, "I met this beautiful girl today named Addilyn Arden Rose! Addilyn was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm so thankful I got to meet this talented, beautiful girl!" Before I knew it, I was fangirling all over my room and tears were falling down my face.

    Just as my fangirl fit dialed down, the doorbell rang. Pizza! I'll have to read the comments after. The scent of pizza filled my nose as I walked down the stairs and I couldn't wait to eat. My dad ordered Pizza Hut. Oh, my parents know me so well. My mom poured soda into 3 glasses and set them on the table along with the plates. We all sat down to eat and dug in.

     "Honey, did you see what Brendon said about you on Insta?" My mom asked with putting a slice of pizza in her mouth.

     "You follow him on Instagram?"

     "Yeah of course. I told you he's hot!" I rolled my eyes and my dad gave her a look.

      "I'm way hotter than he is," my dad said.

      I tried not to laugh and then my mom said, "Oh, of course you're hotter than him, honey" She looked at me and shook her head and we all laughed. The rest of the dinner time, my dad and I caught up and then he excused himself from the table to have a smoke. I hate when my dad smokes. It's affecting his health so badly, but he doesn't stop. I sigh and clean up my plate and glass and then go upstairs to take a shower.

      After the shower, I got into my Panic! pajamas and read the comments on Brendon's picture. I was scared at first, but they were really positive. Lots said I that was beautiful and I was so lucky. One girl said that I was pretty even though I had no hair. Um, thanks? But one really made me crack up. It said, "Dump Sarah's sorry ass and date her!" I blushed at the comment though because what if we were dating. I erased the thought from my head and read my alarm clock. It reads 9:30. I decided to go downstairs and tell my parents goodnight and I gave them kisses and hugs and went up. I brushed my teeth and went straight to bed.
