Asia's POV

"I saw fireworks from the freeway

And behind closed eyes I cannot make them go away,

Cause you were born on the fourth of July, freedom ring

now something on the surface it stings,

That something on the surface it kind of makes me nervous who says that you deserve this

And what kind of god would serve this? We will cure this dirty old disease,

If you've got the poison I've got the remedy..."

I was walking home along Kismet listening to The Remedy by Jason Mraz. I stumbled along in the grass as traffic passed me. I was lucky not to get hit by a car or truck with how dangerous it was. Stupid Florida for not putting sidewalks where they are most needed and dropping kids off along traffic. Logic. Do people not realize we can get killed? I mean, hello? Idiots.

I passed 5th Avenue and watched for  passing cars. But something felt off. Maybe it was just me but I remembered what Ashley told me this morning. I honestly thought she just had a bad nightmare, but what if she was having one of her psychic moments again? I honestly hope not. It'd hard to tell now-a-days. She's been having nightmares a lot lately about all of us. Max, Zach, and herself. Now me. The other's weren't true, which means that this one could possibly be false, however, Ashley is typically correct when she panic's like that. Although, her panic could be due to what I told her about the message on Facebook last night. I sent her to bed telling her scary news. Plus, Ashley's not really pyschic but she can be at times. I pray this isn't on of those times.

I continued home not even halfway when I heard a car starting to slow behind me. I turned around and saw a white van. Now, they say don't talk to strangers, don't take candy from strangers and if you see white vans; run like hell. And that's what I did exactly.

I dropped my messenger bag and started to run.

Why did Ashley have to be right?!

The van started picking up speed. There was no way I could outrun a car but I sure as hell could try. But I wasn't able to run far enough because the van was cruising now. It wasn't even five feet away before it pulled up beside me and a door slid open, a man in black yanking me inside and covering my mouth while another stopped the car, and grabbed my bag. When they pulled me in the van I saw a fist coming towards my face which collided into my cheek.

I let out a muffled scream, felt my head hit the floor and things were turning black. My hearing was fading but the last thing I heard was,

"I told you I was watching."
