Asia's POV

It was the next day and it was already the middle of the school day. Yeah, I was back at school. Everyone including the teachers were asking if i was okay and what had happened. I didn't want to talk about it. But they would glance at me every now and then, asking if I was okay. It was kind of embarrassing. I also hated how everyone would look at me funny. It was because of the burn marks on my skin, bruises and cuts. What did they expect? Me to come home not harmed? Jeesh. Let them get held captive and see what happens to them.

RIIINNNNGGGGG.

Jazz Band was dismissed and I picked up my bag, Max waiting for me and we rushed to lunch. I feel that every time he looks at me he thinks of the incident, he becomes sad, and a little over protective of me now. He pulled me into a big hug and gave me a kiss on the forehead. Max's hugs...every time I think of them now they just...there just so unbelievable. We hug each time like it's our last. I never want to let him go.  Mr. Trapp had been easy on me today since what had happened and he told me not to play today. I had wanted to but he said next class I could if I was up for it. Luckily it was almost the end of the day and I could go home and rest before helping my mom out. I went up to the lunch line with nachos and paid for some before sitting down, Max following behind seconds after. He gave me a small smile as I started to eat at my lunch, which didn't taste the same as it did before I was kidnapped. Maybe it was just me. Either way it sucked, but I think it use to have some good qualities to it... I mean how did I stomach this stuff?

"You alright?" Max asked me. I nodded while still picking at my nachos. I was hungry but not in the mood to eat. Probably because I had the feeling of being stared at, and was worrying about Ashley. You know I think she was the reason lunch used to be fun...now I'm just staring at the empty side of the table where she sat.

"Yeah I'm fine." I mumbled shaking off the memories. He wasn't paying attention that much because of their odd conversation about science or something like that. I was zoning too much to even bother trying to understand what my nerd of a boyfriend was saying. I love him, but I have to face the facts that he was smarter than me in some things. Max can talk about almost anything. Just like Ashley...though she was just random with her conversations. I finally got up and dumped my lunch tray before returning back to my seat. I glanced beside me and saw my school bag then looked around the cafeteria. It buzzed with the chatter of students. It was loud and I heard a small ringing in my ears. I debated whether to go to the nurse and just rest til the bell rang for 7th period, but we only had a few minutes left. It wasn't worth it. I sat there zoning in space until I felt someone shaking at my shoulder.

"Huh?" I snapped out of my trance and looked to see Max and students flooding out of the cafeteria.

"It's time to go." he said before grabbing my bag for me. I refocused and took my bag, swinging it over my shoulder and following him out of the cafeteria, nearly bumping into someone.

Ashley's P.O.V

You know I've had a lot of time to think while i've been a prisoner in these two assholes mother-trucking basement. Note to self: Figure out why these assholes love basements...it is like a kidnapper hand-book rule or are they just that weird and cleche? Anyway i've been thinking why the hell do we go to school everyday and learn useless things? School is supposed to prepare us for the real world...well how is science and math going to help you when you get kidnapped, robbed, or beaten, almost killed etc?  I mean I think they need to have classes that teach you to defend yourself. Some schools don't even have a P.E class! What is wrong with the world? We need to keep in shape and learn this stuff so we don't get kidnapped by assholes. I have always tried to stay as fit as possible so yeah i can throw a strong punch...did i ever learn to punch correctly and learn how to escape chains and what to do in this situation? No.
